Quarter One Review: How I’m “Laying Bricks” to Build Relationships and Open Up New Opportunities

Quarter One Review: How I’m “Laying Bricks” to Build Relationships and Open Up New Opportunities

Tell me if you can relate to this…

When I get obsessed with something, I start to see a new level of results. But I have to fully immerse myself into that ONE thing and give it my all.

You see, being obsessed helps you narrow down your focus and allows you to dedicate more mental energy (and time) to make quicker progress.

In this episode I’m spilling the tea on my latest obsession, what I’ve learned and realized in quarter one, and the most creative way I’ve ever pitched myself to be on a podcast. (spoiler alert: the crazy podcast pitch worked!)

Click play to hear all of this and…

(00:00:16) THIS is how I know I’m about to level up.

(00:02:18) The decision (and mindset shift) I made that’ll help grow my podcast.

(00:04:21) What the numbers showed me when I analyzed my podcast data.

(00:06:12) The experiment I did that helped set me up for future success.

(00:08:04) The absolute BEST way to network.

(00:13:45) The most interesting thing I learned in Lake Tahoe while spending time with a group of male entrepreneurs.

(00:19:06) The most creative way I’ve ever pitched myself to be a guest on a podcast.

(00:21:49) The reason I’m glad I attended a mastermind while in the midst of a promotional period (even though I wasn’t sure about it).

(00:27:11) The thing everyone wants to avoid even though it helps you grow.

(00:29:44) The emotional rollercoaster I went on and how it ended.

(00:34:11) How I started finding a balance between work and relaxation.

(00:35:16) Why you should reflect on your past experiences and consider them as necessary steps to building.

Living an Intentionally Full and Authentic Life with Darrin Johnson

Living an Intentionally Full and Authentic Life with Darrin Johnson

Can I be real with you for a moment? I mean, you listen to the podcast so I already know you’re a real one.

OK, here I go: I'd rather have someone disappointed, upset, or disliking me for being 100% true to myself, than being a mere carbon copy of who they think I should be.

And that’s a special kind of peace that I wish for you, too.

In this episode that originally aired on the "I Dare You" podcast with Darrin Johnson, I spill the tea on how I was able to adopt this mindset. You’ll also get a (loving) kick in the pants that’ll inspire you to live a more authentic and purpose-driven life.

Click play to hear all of this and…

(00:00:01) The path that led me here to this moment.

(00:04:13) The exact moment of realization I had about living a purposeful life.

(00:08:15) The importance of owning your own decisions.

(00:13:20) What you must do to identify your purpose and forge your own path.

(00:17:12) Finding inspiration and recognizing envy as signals, taking action to explore and align with one's purpose.

(00:19:19) How your purpose can change with actions and experiences.

(00:20:09) What I encourage YOU to do to protect your energy (I’m the Queen of this).

    (00:27:09) What I believe to be a HUGE trust-builder.

(00:30:31) My personal approach to creating content.

(00:34:15) Jasmine shares her perspective on using social media as a tool for business and time allocation.

(00:40:19) What to do when you’re experiencing comparison and how it shows up in these THREE ways.

(00:45:07) What I (double-dog) dare you to do.

Five Things My Team and I Do to Stay Productive and Reach Our Goals

Five Things My Team and I Do to Stay Productive and Reach Our Goals

When it comes to building a *GREAT* team, let’s just say there are some lessons that I learned the not-so-easy way.

But that’s ok… because now I’m able to share them with you. (worth it!)

Some lessons were as simple and light as implementing mental health days (and scheduling them strategically.)

Others, well, let's just say they stung a bit.

In this episode, you’ll learn the exact strategies my team and I use to create a more productive, feedback-driven, and mentally healthy team culture. (Psst: I’m even giving you my exact team meeting formula to keep things movin’ and groovin’!)

Click play to hear all of this and…

(00:01:04) What the whole team and I do (and don’t do) to increase productivity.

(00:09:49) How the team and I improve, save time, and reach our goals faster.

(00:16:52) Why we implemented monthly mental health days (and the details behind them).

(00:17:54) The extra thought that has gone a *long way* for mental health days and holidays.

(00:19:40) What every leader must do to foster trust and independence in the team.

(00:21:22) The importance of not settling for mediocrity and continuously pushing for improvement.

(00:23:06) The risks of complacency and what it can affect in your business.

(00:24:09) The number one morale and productivity killer. (Avoid this at all costs!)

    (00:30:25) Your action step!

How to Reach Your Fullest Potential (in Life and Business)

How to Reach Your Fullest Potential (in Life and Business)

Ever heard of Satya Nadella, the CEO of Microsoft?

Well, let’s just say that back in 2014, Microsoft was well, struggling hard. Their market shares were down, they had a not-so-stellar team culture, and they simply just lacked innovation overall compared to their competitors.

When Nadella took over, he knew things had to change. And, so you know what he did? He started with himself, focusing on empathy and humility.

He listened to his team and customers and made sure everyone had exactly what they needed to succeed.

Under his leadership, Microsoft completely turned things around. They introduced new features and products, like AI and OneDrive. And they made a huge acquisition: LinkedIn, for $26.2 billion. Yep.

In this episode, you’ll learn how aiming for your fullest potential serves everyone around you and how to apply my framework, the "three Ps of reaching YOUR fullest potential”, to your business.

Click play to hear all of this and…

(00:00:01) The truth about reaching your fullest potential.

(00:01:05) Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs and how it relates to business and personal growth.

(00:03:14) How Satya Nadella made Microsoft profitable again.

(00:04:13) Why you should intentionally seek discomfort.

(00:06:14) The value of surrounding yourself with a diverse group of people.

(00:08:15) What it means to practice intellectual humility.

(00:14:44) How your own personal growth can impact the experience and satisfaction of your clients and customers,

(00:18:07) How to sell to the highest need in the hierarchy.

(00:20:26) The three Ps of reaching your full potential.

Sonal_SuperCharge ,

My favourite time of the week

Is when I’m in the car, no kids no hubby no work, just me and Jasmine, and we vibing!
I’m all the way in Brussels, Belgium, but I might as well be in Newport Beach, California. That’s how close I feel to Jasmine and her voice. My favourite episodes are always her solo ones, even though she brings lots of handpicked guests, but when she’s coaching me and giving me a loving kick in the backside, she’s the best friend I didn’t know I needed.
I quote her repeatedly, I’ve even started speaking like her!
Love you Jasmine!

Opiumalfa ,

She is The Star!

I managed to listen only to 3 episodes but I did miss my metro stop doing it :) Jasmine is the only photographer out there that I do listen and I take it all. Thank you for being there for us ! I love what you do and it helps me grow as a photographer.

sjipoopi ,

Such a powerhouse!

Jasmine is my ultimate pick-me-up when I’m feeling useless and the perfect kick in the butt whenever you need it. Such a beautiful person, inside and out!
