Probably the best True Crime podcast out there
If you’re not afraid of facts and thorough analysis of legal issues, this is the podcast for you. The Prosecutors is probably the most level-headed true crime podcast out there. Brett and Alice have a great Southern-style friendly chemistry between them, and their genuine passion will charm you - even when talking about some obscure Russian expedition. Most importantly, they know how to analyse a true crime case in a respectful and thoughtful manner.
Disappointed
I’ve been listening to The Prosecutors for years. I’ve enjoyed their unique and intelligent - and entertaining - views on the serious (and not so serious) cases they’ve covered. However, I found the tone of the Adnan Sayed coverage to be disrespectful to anyone who doesn’t share their views.
I am not a die-hard “Adnan is innocent” proponent. I am open to new evidence and interpretation of the evidence. So I did not appreciate being called a “conspiracy theorist” or being laughed at because I think that some of the evidence against Adnan is sketchy or unconvincing. Mocking people is not the way to get to the truth. It is simply a way of not listening to those with different opinions.
The tone and the mocking has made for unpleasant listening and I will not be listening to the podcast any longer. A shame, because I think they made some good and interesting points which I might have been more open to if presented in a more respectful way.
