MALAYO PA, PERO MALAYO NA: PESSIMISM VS OPTIMISM — IHS E60

My circumstances don’t define my purpose or destiny; God does. Scripture addresses the tension between pessimism and optimism not as abstract philosophical positions, but as spiritual and psychological dispositions that shape how we experience life.Yet biblical optimism isn’t naive cheerfulness. Paul directs believers to deliberately focus their thoughts on what is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, and praiseworthy. It is an active choice to direct attention toward genuine goods rather than dwelling on threats. This mental discipline reflects a deeper theological conviction: for those aligned with God’s purposes, even adverse circumstances ultimately serve their good. Optimism, then, rests on trust in divine providence rather than denial of suffering.#60 Malayo Pa, Pero Malayo Na: Pessimism vs OptimismJune 20, Sat, 6am 00:00 Intro00:01 PremiseThis podcast is part of the weekly Inner Healing Sessions, a one-hour gathering where people come together to listen to inspiring stories of healing from ordinary, humble individuals. LET THEM LEARN — IHS E59

Even if we wish that we or our love ones not to get hurt, we need to give them space for them to learn about life for themselves. The hardest part of loving well is often accepting that we cannot prevent all suffering for those we care about. Our role is to equip people for life, not to insulate them from it. This requires trusting them in a larger purpose beyond our control. The challenge is discerning the difference between protective love and controlling love. Wisdom involves knowing when to step in and when to step back. It is knowing when to offer guidance versus when to be quiet and simply be present. #59 Let Them Learn June 13, Sat, 6am This podcast is part of the weekly Inner Healing Sessions, a one-hour gathering where people come together to listen to inspiring stories of healing from ordinary, humble individuals. HIRAP PERO HINDI SUSUKO: Being Inspired & Self-Motivated — IHS E58

Gusto mo na bang sumuko? Naranasan mo na bang mag-give up? Kung pakiramdam mo ay kulang na o wala ka nang dahilan para magsikap at magpatuloy, huminto ka muna at isipin mong muli. Baka may mga dahilan kang hindi pa nakikita, o mga pagkakataong hindi mo napapansin. Inspired & Self-Motivated. The idea that inspiration comes externally is absolutely true. Anybody can inspire me. Anything can inspire me. However, it is only up to me to motivate myself. No one else can motivate me. Nothing outside of me can provide motivation. Motivation is intrinsic. That’s why I need to work on why and how I should be inspired and self-motivated as part of my healing process. Though people can inspire me toward inner healing, that is only one part of the journey. How I receive inspiration from people or situations is secondary. What’s most important is how I cultivate self-motivation even if inspired or not.
