    Jennifer Chassman Browne Disabled writer and storyteller Jenn has lived with Rheumatoid Arthritis since she was six years old. While she was an active and athletic child, as an adult, her arthritis has become more limiting. It’s been a challenging process for her to redefine her sense of self and to accept these limitations, while still trying to move forward and to work around them. Despite her disability, she has been able to remain active. For most of her professional life, Jenn has been an English teacher and school leader, and has loved the time that she spent with the teenagers that she taught, many of whom she still has in her life. For the past seven years, she has worked as a DEI and disability advocate. In her work as a disability advocate and educator, she brings disability awareness into all of the work that she does. Too often, serving people with disabilities is not part of the national conversation. She helps the people with whom she works to consider how we can create a world that is more inclusive of all people, including people with disabilities. Jenn works to educate people about the strengths and gifts that people with disabilities have. Everyone has something that limits them, and success asks that we simply move forward even with the limitations that we have. That said, we need allies, systems, and structures that ensure our inclusion and success. Jenn has also earned certification as a listener poet and is invested in working with organizations to use the listener poet process as part of a support system for those in careers with a high emotional demand. Jenn loves writing, and collaborated with her husband, Kevin, on a poetry collection last year.     Sayima . Stillness & Poetry I’m Sayima, a Tanzanian-born writer currently living in France. My work is rooted in emotional healing, identity and the quiet power of softness in a performance-driven world. My debut poetry collection, ‘heart based’, reflects my own experience, from navigating cultural and religious expectations of my country of origin to rebuilding a sense of inner belonging across cultures, languages and countries that I moved to. These poems began as journal entries written in moments that later became blessings in disguise, leading me to question who I truly was if I let go of everything that once defined me. I’ve shared ‘heart based’ through a tour across France, in English-language bookstores and at literary festivals like La Comédie du Livre in Montpellier (the biggest literary festival in the country), where I connected with readers from around the world. That experience showed me how the book’s themes resonate with people across different cultures. My hope is for ‘heart based’ to spark a meaningful dialogue and connection, inviting listeners to engage with its themes. Through your journey, you will follow a fool's path to exile, hear from presidential candidate Sally McBride, and even learn how to be invisible.  First on your itinerary is a section of existential poetry that includes a sobering look at the true cost of watches and war. Next are five short stories that range from mildly funny to so abjectly bleak they warrant a trigger warning. Lastly, you are walked through original spells that provide an eclectic viewpoint of magical concepts such as summonings, immortality and the aforementioned invisibility in a surprisingly applicable and practical manner.
