They then talk in depth about his early career at Liverpool with the likes of Jay Spearing, struggling with his height before immediately dropping into non-league football to gain experience in men's football. The trio then chat about Sean's first stint at Accrington Stanley before opting for a big money move to Stockport which ultimately turned into a disaster thanks to Jim Gannon and then continuing his career at Rochdale, Barrow, Stalybridge & Chester. Sean then speaks about his decision to rejoin Accrington Stanley, his relationship with John Coleman, the incredible job owner Andy Holt has done to transform the club from Northern Prem to having a 6-7 year stint in League One. Sean continues with his relationship with star striker Billy Kee and why he ultimately struggled with the pressures of League One football before discussing his incredible 10 years at the club and how he ended up being one of the leading assist maker’s in the whole EFL.     We're back with another episode of I Had Trials Once and this time we're joined by Prescott Cables, Stalybridge Celtic, Southport, Altrincham, Lancaster & Chorley player...TONY SULLIVAN! Tony sits down with Gaz & Jord to discuss everything from life growing up in Liverpool with the sunday league football culture to becoming a legend at Stalybridge Celtic. The lads start the pod discussing Tony's upbringing in Liverpool, what makes up the scouse mentality and why there's nothing in football like the Liverpool Sunday League culture. Tony then talks about his early life in non-league football playing for £50 a week, making the move to Stalybridge where he played with Lee Trundle and went on to become a club legend before talking about gaining that extra 1% by shaving their heads to intimidate the opposition. The trio then chat in depth about football dark arts, the importance of taking accountability & having a responsibility to have a relationship with the non-league fans. Tony then speaks about his decision to call time on his playing career and move into management, managing against Jonno & Bern and why having a good dressing room is crucial. Finally they end the pod talking about non-league managers going to watch under pressure managers, his experience managing Cammell Laird and Witton Albion.
