The $20 Burrito Problem Trump Can’t Ignore

Andrew Kolvet (spokesperson, Turning Point USA, and executive producer, “The Charlie Kirk Show”) joins Chris Cuomo for a wide-ranging debate over the future of Trump’s MAGA movement, the economy, immigration, Islam, ICE, and the rise of the DSA on the left. Kolvet explains how a college student’s complaint about a $20 burrito became a national political argument—and why he thinks Republicans risk making the same mistake as Democrats if they dismiss voters who say everyday life is still too expensive. Chris presses him on whether Donald Trump deserves the same criticism conservatives leveled at Joe Biden when voters felt the White House wasn’t acknowledging their economic reality.  Chris and Andrew also clash over Muslim immigration and the role of Christianity in America, debate the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown and the use of force by ICE, and examine whether Democrats are moving toward their own political transformation. Kolvet argues that the DSA could mount the same kind of “hostile takeover” of the Democratic establishment that MAGA carried out on the Republican Party, while Chris questions whether the movement’s most extreme positions actually represent where Democratic voters are headed. They also discuss conspiracy culture and social media, including the attacks Kolvet and others at Turning Point faced after Charlie Kirk’s death and why he believes online incentives are pushing Americans toward increasingly baseless conclusions. Former Pastor John Pavlovitz On How Trump Took Over Christianity

John Pavlovitz (author, “A Bigger Table,” pastor, and Substack Writer, “The Beautiful Mess”) joins Chris Cuomo to examine how Donald Trump and MAGA have transformed conservative Christianity, why political identity has become so difficult to break, and whether Americans can still be persuaded out of increasingly extreme political camps. Pavlovitz argues that Christian nationalism has become a “Jesusless Christianity” built around power rather than the teachings of Jesus, and explains why he sees Trumpism as a cultic movement that has replaced traditional sources of moral authority with loyalty to one person. Chris and John also debate whether the left has its own problem with ideological purity, the rise of the DSA as an alternative to the Democratic establishment, and why frustration with the status quo continues to fuel political disruption. They discuss Chris’s concern that Islamophobia could become MAGA’s most effective distraction heading into the midterms, the difficulty of combating fear of Muslims in a country where many voters have little exposure to Islam, and what could happen if Americans lose faith in the legitimacy of the next election.   Join The Chris Cuomo Project on YouTube for ad-free episodes, early releases, exclusive access to Chris, and more: https://www.youtube.com/@chriscuomo/join Follow and subscribe to The Chris Cuomo Project on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and YouTube for new episodes every Tuesday and Thursday: https://linktr.ee/cuomoproject Learn more about your ad choices. How Does This End in Iran

Chris Cuomo brings together key moments from this week’s Cuomo Mornings on SiriusXM, featuring conversations with Representative Ryan Zinke (R-MT) and former Senator Joe Manchin (I-WV), along with calls from listeners reacting to America’s growing conflict with Iran. Zinke argues the threat remains urgent, warning that Iran’s nuclear capability and stated intent make it dangerous to step back too soon. Cuomo presses whether continued involvement can realistically eliminate that threat—or if the U.S. risks getting pulled deeper into a conflict with no clear end. Manchin focuses on the endgame, arguing that any lasting solution depends on regional partners and that the U.S. cannot stay indefinitely or attempt to control Iran’s future. Callers challenge the case for continued conflict, question how foreign policy connects to issues at home, and raise frustrations about government spending, political priorities, and accountability. Ro Khanna on How Democrats Can Win Without Becoming Trump

Representative Ro Khanna (D-CA) joins Chris Cuomo to lay out what he believes is the strongest path forward for Democrats—one that centers affordability, health care, wages, and jobs instead of endless outrage over Donald Trump. Khanna explains why letting Affordable Care Act subsidies expire would hurt millions of Americans, how Medicare for All could reduce costs by cutting middlemen and negotiating prices, and why Democrats lose credibility when they campaign against Trump without offering a substantive economic alternative. Cuomo and Khanna debate whether outrage-driven politics actually wins elections, the influence of corporate money and PACs, the decline of unions, and why Democrats risk becoming defined solely in opposition to Trump. They also tackle foreign policy flashpoints—from Venezuela to Gaza—faith and extremism, and what Khanna calls a “new economic patriotism” aimed at restoring the American Dream before the 2026 midterms. Inside the Democrats’ Winning Formula (with Brian Tyler Cohen)

Brian Tyler Cohen (YouTube and podcast host, “No Lie with Brian Tyler Cohen,” and MS NOW Contributor) joins Chris Cuomo for a conversation about how Democrats can win in an outrage-driven media environment. They dig into why affordability messaging works across the spectrum — from Abigail Spanberger and Mikie Sherrill to Zohran Mamdani — and why the left must balance real-world issues with the daily flood of Trump scandals, ICE abuses, and rising costs. Cuomo and Cohen unpack how the Epstein files, outrage algorithms, and click-first influencers distort priorities, why trust matters more than trending topics, and how Democrats can convert resentment into results on housing, groceries, and basic costs. They also explore the limits of lawfare, the danger of governing for social-media engagement, and what it will take for the majority to reward leaders who actually solve problems rather than amplify anger.
