Welcome to Gather to Overflow by The Asaph Group - I’m Evan Umberger. I hope that you and your family are doing well these days dealing with the coronavirus globally and locally, leading with faith instead of fear, keeping your peace, and that you’re able to have quality gatherings...no matter how small. Like you, my kids are on a forced Spring Break and I had things to do. I was supposed to help lead a worship leader gathering that I’ve been looking forward to since November, but we ended up postponing...so my wife and I are having some extra time to hang out with our kids & I’m honestly thankful. Have you noticed that all of these extra moments are opportunities for us to rest, receive revelations, and reset our rhythms? I want to encourage you to take advantage of these opportunities while you’re starting your day, working from home, spending more family time that you usually do, doing chores or catching up!, maybe having another family over for dinner, having prayer calls over Zoom with family and friends from across the country (we actually just did one and it was so enjoyable!), or whatever you’re feeling led to do. Ask God what He wants to release with you in this season: that could be being full of love, joy, peace, an encourager to people around you or a long lost family or friend - call them up, prayer, etc. So onto this episode, I’m going to be giving an update about The Send Brazil that happened on Saturday, February, 8th, 2020. I don’t know if you heard about The Send, but you can read more on their website (TheSend.org) and social media to find out that it’s a movement of multiple ministries led by a collaboration with Poppa Lou Engle, Andy Byrd from YWAM, Todd White from Lifestyle Christianity, Michael Kouluonos from Jesus Image, Brian Brennt from Circuit Riders, Daniel Kolenda from Christ for All Nations, and Teo Hayashi from Dunamis Movement. Here’s a little update from this evening that I just saw: their April gathering in Argentina is going to be postponed to a later date and the one in October at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City is still going ahead as planned & they’re still working on the date with the NFL. In short, this trip was very powerful and, as I mention, it was so enjoyable to be around leaders who were real and authentic at the airport, over meals, and in the hotel, even before they stepped on the platform. Some ministry leaders even just came to hang, be a part, worship, & support through prayer on the side stage without a microphone or expectation for a 15-minute slot. Alright, let’s hang for a while… We hope this helped fill up your faith tank and spurred you into action. As always, when you have any requests, questions, or testimonies, please feel free to email gather@theasaphgroup.com. Also, if you’d like to give to our ministry you can do that at theasaphgroup.com/give. Thanks again for being with us. May God bless you as you Gather to Overflow.
