Flaws in the Case

In this episode, we hear from one of the few surviving witnesses from the night Sandra Rivett was killed. Chris Baddick was a rookie policeman who attended the murder scene after Lady Lucan raised the alarm at the nearby Plumbers Arms. Later that night, he was sent to Lucan’s mother’s address in north London, where he overheard a telephone call from the prime suspect. Both barristers agree that Mr Baddick’s evidence is important in understanding the chaos at 46, Lower Belgrave Street as forensic experts searched for evidence. We also hear from forensic expert Allan Jamieson, who talks about the techniques used to examine crime scenes and evidence at the time. Erin Patterson - No Pity

In this emergency episode Caroline and Wayne have the moment Erin Patterson was sentenced to life in prison. She will serve at least 33 years for the murders of Don and Gail Patterson and Heather Wilkinson, and the attempted murder of Heather’s husband Ian. For the first time ever in Melbourne’s Supreme Court, the judge was broadcast live as he told her she had shown no pity for her victims. He also said it would never be known if their lives could have been saved, if doctors had known sooner that they had eaten death cap mushrooms. Update Episode - The Tragic Life Of Preston Davey: "It's my Fault"

In this update episode Caroline and Liz have the moment 13-month-old Preston Davey was brought into A&E in the minutes before he died. CCTV footage was shown in court of Jamie Varley and John McGowan Fazakerley running into the hospital in Blackpool carrying the baby and the jury was told Jamie Varley repeatedly said: "It's my fault." He told doctors he'd left Preston in the bath alone for a few minutes and he'd started drowning. But the prosecution say he deliberately murdered him, after weeks of abuse. The men deny the charges.
