    Are There Stereotypes Brown Players Face in Soccer and How is the Sport Growing in South Asian Nations? | Featuring Pro Player Navid Rahman

    Today we are joined by Navid Rahman, a pro football (soccer) player that has played around the world and just recently represented the Pakistani national team. Holding citizenship in multiple countries, Navid was actually born in Europe, grew up in Canada and has actually never lived in Pakistan. Where has he played around the world professionally and how does sports culture differ overseas? We discuss the growth of soccer in Pakistan and what it is like to be called up to the international squad. He talks about how there are multiple dual citizens playing for the international team and some of the guys that he models his game after.     Today we are very lucky to have Arsalan Jamil join us on the pod. Not only is he the Assistant Coach for the Raptors 905 but he is also the founder of Goals Over Temptations. Coming to Canada when he was 15 was not an easy transition for Arsalan and his family but sports was always a source of happiness for him.
