    In today´s episode, our guest is Patricia Hernandez. She is from Spain but has lived in Brazil and Portugal over the last few years. During our conversation, she told me why she went to study in Brazil and how was that first experience speaking Portuguese there. Later, she talked to me about how she got a job in Lisboa (Portugal), where she is currently living. She described the Portuguese lifestyle, her relationship with the locals, and how she learned English throughout her life. In the last part of the interview, we switched to Spanish, and then she even taught me a very special word in Portuguese.     10. Embracing Germany and building multiple language identities with Manol

    In today´s episode, our guest is Manol Roussev. He was born in Bulgaria and lived there until his early youth. Since he was a kid, he fell in love with the german language and culture. Quickly, he realized that he would end up living in Germany. And that dream finally became true when he decided to pursue a career in scientific academia in a german university. After leaving Bulgaria, he has built a life in Germany and has felt at home there. During our conversation, we talked about his approach to learning both German and English, his adaptation to Germany, the connection between language and identity, and his writing work.     9. Falling in love with Perú and becoming a Spanish teacher with Juliane from the US

    In today´s episode, our guest is Juliane Cole. She was born and raised in the US. During her time at school, she enjoyed learning Spanish. Later in college, she continued putting effort and time into this language. After her graduation, she got an opportunity to work for the Peace Corps organization and ended up living in Perú. She spent two years in a small town in the north of Perú. In the beginning, the adaptation to a new culture in a Spanish-speaking environment was a huge challenge. But then, she made a great connection with the community, built strong relationships with the people, and left Perú loving the country. Now she works as a Spanish teacher in a school in Tucson, Arizona (USA), and has plans to live in another Spanish-speaking country with her husband and three daughters in the coming years.
