But history tells a very different story. From Rome to Babylon, the greatest civilizations in the world all believed they were untouchable—until they weren’t. Power, wealth, influence, and confidence eventually gave way to the same old patterns: corruption, violence, moral confusion, and leaders who couldn’t be trusted. Sound familiar? As we look around today, it’s hard not to notice the similarities.
