NEWSFLASH is a weekly episode that comes out EVERY WEDNESDAY – because by mid-week, trust me, there’s a lot to talk about – all about covering relevant news topics in a very untraditional way. We’ll invite two guests every week who will discuss current topics in the news with me – but here’s the twist: they’ll only have four minutes to talk about each topic. And hey, sometimes they’re only human too and might not be in the know, so it makes for a fun debate with, of course, some fact-checking.

    NEWS FLASH EPISODE 1: RYAN & LISA

    In this episode of NEWS FLASH, Angela Jara, a real-life news reporter, sits down with her two friends, Ryan and Lisa, and talks about a variety of current events. Here's the twist: Ryan is a “news junkie” who eats, sleeps, and breathes the news day and night, while Lisa, on the other hand, well, let’s just say she doesn't have the time of day. This playful duo adds the perfect mix of knowledge and “going with the flow” that one needs in their life, because let’s be honest, the news shouldn't be taken seriously anyway. In this episode, 10 current topics are generated randomly, and the guest, along with the mediator host, has only four minutes to discuss each topic. There’s a balance from hard news to entertainment, of course, taking into account that each guest has their preferences on what genre they like to talk about the most.  We cover everything from Mexico’s President's response to the US’s concern about attacks, to the discovery of the beginning of the famous “6-7” trend. We also do a deep dive into the recent talks about the release of the late Jeffrey Epstein files, currently under investigation through a special act said to be passed by Congress. Regardless of a deep dive into one topic, or only having four minutes to dive into a fast speed round of various topics, the idea remains the same: we state the fact and add our opinion. Join us for an engaging way to talk about the news from a different perspective you didn’t realize you needed. You won’t want to miss out on all the fun!
