3NailsCoaching

Two guys that love the bible, having fun and going off script invite you into their bible study they have been doing together for over 12 years! Instead of reading a whole chapter at a time, they bite off a small piece of scripture that they deliver to you just like a pizza...in 30 minutes or less!!! Using their innate curiosity and the help of their Life Application bible footnotes, their bible study is refreshing and fun! They are not bible scholars by any means but just two regular, everyday guys who turned their bible study from an obligation or Christian duty into a fun time that they look forward to and actually grow closer to God during! Their hope is that it will provide you with a refreshing way to get into God’s word, help you see how using the Life Application bible can help you gain further insight into the scriptures and maybe prompt you to find a friend or two that you can do a similar style of bible study on your own! Our tempo in 30 minutes or less for each episode is to: * Open with a small discussion and prayer * Read a small bite of scripture * See if there are any verses that pop out to us or we have any inspired insight on. * Read the Life Application footnotes for the scripture that was read and discuss what was shared and/or any ”ah ha” moments! * Close in prayer. Give us a listen and we guarantee you will have some fun with us (or at least be able to poke some fun at us)! Be great and enjoy the gift of today! :) Proverbs 27:17 Shout out to Dmitrii Kolesnikov providing rights to the intro/exit music at https://pixabay.com/users/the_mountain-3616498/

Episode 244 - Luke 9:21-27 - Give it up in that Moment

In this episode the hosts revisit Luke 9:21 and focus on verses 23–27, where Jesus warns the disciples about his coming rejection, death, and resurrection and calls followers to deny themselves and take up their cross daily. They unpack the meaning of "whoever loses their life for me will save it," explore footnote interpretations (the transfiguration, the resurrection, and the spread of the church after Pentecost), and discuss practical implications for faith today. The conversation covers the challenge of choosing obedience over comfort, the danger of distractions and entertaining doubt, and the fear of being ashamed of Christ. Personal stories and reflections illustrate how trusting God can lead to unexpected blessings and deeper commitment. Listeners are encouraged to consider what it means to follow Jesus in everyday life, to share experiences on social media, and to respond to God’s call even when it is uncomfortable or risky. The episode ends with prayer asking for courage to follow and faith to trust God’s greater plan. Episode 240 - Luke 9:1-6 - The Ultimate Leader

In this episode we walk through Luke 9, where Jesus calls the twelve, gives them power and authority to cast out demons and heal the sick, and sends them out to proclaim the kingdom of God. TCBSGs highlight the startling instruction to take nothing for the journey and unpack what that dependence on God taught the disciples about faith and provision. We explore practical leadership lessons: Jesus empowers and models before sending, the value of accountability as the disciples go out in pairs, and the balance of preaching and healing— ministering to both soul and body. The conversation also touches on hospitality, the short-term nature of this mission, and cultural meaning behind “shaking the dust off” when a town rejects the message. The hosts reflect on human responses to mission—anxiety about relying on others, the joy of giving and the challenge of receiving, and curiosity about the role of each disciple (including Judas) during these events. Overall, the episode offers a clear, accessible look at how Jesus trained and tested his followers, and practical takeaways for leadership, faith, and evangelism today.
