  • Rodney Alcala: The Dating Game Killer (Part 1)

    27/01/2025

Rodney Alcala: The Dating Game Killer (Part 1)

When Cheryl Bradshaw appeared on the popular game show The Dating Game in 1978, she was charmed by bachelor number one, Rodney Alcala, and by the end of the episode, she’d chosen him to take her on a date. However, just minutes after the episode finished taping, Cheryl met bachelor number two in person backstage and was immediately uncomfortable and quickly contacted producers of the show to cancel the date. What Bradshaw didn’t know at the time was that, in doing so, she had narrowly avoided spending an evening in the company of one of America’s most notorious serial killers. At the time of his appearance on The Dating Game in 1978, Alcala was a convicted sexual predator who had served time for sexual assault and had only avoided a charge of attempted murder on a technicality. After his arrest, investigators would learn that, by the time he appeared on the game show, he was also a killer. In the year that followed, Alcala would go on to murder several other women until he was finally caught and convicted for his crimes. At his trial, Rodney Alcala was found guilty of eight murders, among other crimes, but he is suspected of several other murders, perhaps as many as one hundred or more. Top AI Scientist "Gone Mad" and Executes His Nephew In Front Of Courthouse

One prominent UFO researcher once said, if you start looking for patterns, you will find them. And people think one of the worst patterns to emerge in 2026 is the pattern of important scientists going missing or ending up dead.   Is it a fear‑mongering conspiracy where netizens are connecting together a few dots and calling it a line? A link? Or is it a real legitimate theory? I can’t be the one to tell you.   Dr. Chen, a Chinese researcher based in the United States, has the type of resume where if something happens to him it makes you want to throw coincidence out the window.   Outside a small Massachusetts courthouse, he locks eyes with a younger man… and within seconds, Chen is running him down, firing 5 to 6 shots, and leaving his 23‑year‑old nephew dead in the parking lot. Has this once brilliant scientist finally gone mad?       Full show notes available at RottenMangoPodcast.com Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. NEW SHOW: The Truth About Natalie

Twenty-seven-year-old Natalie Jones vanished after a July 4th lake party in Alabama in 2020. Ninety-three days later, her car and her remains were found in a rural Georgia field. No arrest. No clear answer. No closure for the family left behind. The official theory was an accidental overdose. But a negative toxicology report, a drug baggie with no fingerprints, and a phone that never left Natalie's hand — one that’s still missing — tell a different story. Shortly before her death, Natalie had begun speaking out about the men in her life: a bitter ex-husband, an alleged childhood abuser, a lover tied to drug trafficking. Host Sean Kipe investigates what happened to Natalie Jones. Was it an overdose? An accident? Or something the people closest to her have been protecting for years?   Listen to the second episode of The Truth About Natalie now, whenever you get your podcasts.
