Piddington referendum result

Piddington is sticking it to the Labour government, voting overwhelmingly to leave the UK; 285 of 312 voted to leave. Although this will not trigger any formal departure from the country, it represents the strength of feeling about the incoming migrants that Piddington would like to see the back of. Many say this is what Piddington gets for voting Liberal Democrat, with residents emphasising that not every local voted for the Party and that the safety of women is paramount. Reform UK's £72m donation

Reform UK has received two mega cash injections, which it believes will put it in prime position to effectively fight in a general election. This news has caused furrowed eyebrows in the Labour Party, with a question over whether legislation will be brought in to cap donations and applied retrospectively. Some are saying this would be an attempt to take Reform UK out of the race, and the equivalent of hysterical hypocrisy, considering Labour receives donations from Trade Unions with the expectation of something in return. Jeremy Kyle reacts as the Home Secretary has instructed police forces to deploy all available powers necessary to crack down on anti-migrant demonstrations. Shabana Mahmood has also called for a blanket ban on masks at public protests to unmask extremists. Whenever did we hear the Home Secretary say ‘use all powers necessary’ on pro-palestinian protests? Across the Channel, France wants Britain to accept asylum seekers directly from across the European Union as part of the one in, one out scheme. But back here local communities are increasingly worried about asylum seekers in their area. In the village of Piddington, local women have issued an urgent plea to female MPs, fearing they will be vastly outnumbered ten-to-one by male asylum seekers. And just to give you an idea of how bad the situation is - official data reveals the UK asylum appeals backlog has skyrocketed to a historic record exceeding 90,000 cases - a seventeenfold jump over six years ago. Meanwhile, a Labour review says make disability benefits as 'easy as possible' to get as new figures show the number of claimants receiving benefits for ADHD has surpassed the total number of serving soldiers in the British military.
