Beyond Culture started with the idea that our generation has an abundance of knowledge on cultural topics, but there appeared to be a huge gap when it came to political issues. To bridge this divide, we focus on covering stories that both have cultural and political implications. We also have conversations about our very own communities as we try to redefine the dominant narratives. Beyond Culture is Toronto-made, and draws heavily from Canadian and Congolese influences
