A Week of Ben's Slime Party, Kinetic Sand, and the RHONY OG Defection

This week, Ben dealt me a devastating blow when he told me I looked like a Grandpa. And this was after I threw Ben a grand ol' Slime birthday party...which he had major regrets over (great!) Then, I learned that I hate Kinetic Sand (a little too late, but...) and we talked The Traitors, RHONY OG cast show, and my one-on-one with Karen Huger. Plus, I'm so excited for my Super Bowl commercial and party, which makes one of us because John seems 50/50 on his RSVP. Jordan Chiles: More Than a Moment

Gymnast and two-time Olympic medalist Jordan Chiles reflects on the moments that tested her most — including the Tokyo Games, where a fall felt like failure before becoming something bigger, when she stepped to compete for Simone Biles at the last minute. Joined by her mother, Gina, Jordan shares how belief, repair, and self-talk helped her separate who she is from what she does. A powerful conversation about identity beyond performance, stepping up when it matters most, and the parents who hold belief when their kids can’t see it themselves. Toddler morning routine, baby names we WON’T use & is going off registry rude?!

This week on Two Parents & A Podcast, we might have cracked the code on toddler mornings… and it’s not waking up earlier. We’re talking 5am wakeups, third-trimester exhaustion, and the mindset shift that completely changed how we handle that first hour of the day. Instead of surviving it, we’re cooking through it. Eggs, repetition, more eggs, toddler “responsibility,” and why letting Tate crack the eggs might actually be the best parenting hack we’ve stumbled into. From there, we rant about the glucose test (there HAS to be a better way), officially put the induction on the calendar, and share baby names we LOVE but WON’T be using (and why naming a second kid feels wildly harder?? Idk we just need to see the baby). We spiral (naturally) into the Valentine’s Day debate: when someone says “no gifts”… do they actually mean it? Then get into our low-spend month competition with the neighbors (now accepting votes for who you think might win… spoiler alert: it doesn’t seem like it’s gonna be me), what I’m NOT buying this month but really want to, and then talk about a competition that ACTUALLY matters: the Winter Olympics. Harrison has a rant about why it’s somehow harder than ever to actually watch the Olympics. We also unpack the viral Olympian cheating apology and whether that was romantic… or just ????? Then we hit the comment section: is going off-registry rude? are toddlers sitting on restaurant tables actually a crime? and are “self-driving” cars even self-driving? We wrap with something that genuinely reframed our week: toddlers are hardwired to hit, run, climb, and tantrum. It’s NOT personal. It’s developmental. And how you react might matter more than what they do. LOVE YOU GUYS. Thanks for listening 🤍 Timestamps: 00:00:00 Welcome back to Two Parents & A Podcast! 00:04:55 The BEST personalized toddler gift (Maria nailed THIS) 00:06:23 Waking up early with a toddler?! The Power of Real Optimism: What It Actually Means (and How to Practice It) w/ Dr. Deepika Chopra

In this episode, I sit down with Dr. Deepika Chopra to talk about what real optimism actually means — and why it’s so different from toxic positivity. We unpack the science behind resilience, curiosity, and staying open when life is hard, and we get practical about how to grow your “optimism muscle” in everyday moments. We talk about language shifts (like the power of “never” and “always”), parenting through low-capacity seasons, rituals that ground families, and why affirmations and manifestation don’t always work the way we think they do.
