I still look forward to the weekly episodes
I came to the podcast game late, which meant I had a lot of wonderful content to catch up on!
One thing I miss from the earlier seasons of the pod is the behind-the-scenes stuff and sharing your own personal commentary on the storylines, relationships, etc. There was less structure, true, but as a listener, for me, it was more interesting than the structured scene-by-scene recap that seems to be happening now.
Getting to hear about your experience as the actors then and your experience as the viewers now, and how, sometimes, those experiences are in conflict with one another, was more captivating, in my opinion.
I’ve read the instagram comments and I know people have been asking for a more structured recap so I appreciate that you’re trying to give the fans what they want, and obviously, I know, it’s just not possible to please everyone.
Regardless, I still look forward to the weekly episodes - I chuckle, I smile, I cry, sometimes I roll my eyes or make sighs of exasperation! The point is, I’m made to feel something every week, with every episode, which was exactly my experience as a viewer of the show back in the day, and it’s what keeps me coming back week-after-week.
So, however you choose to do the pod moving forward, just please keep doing it. Especially since seasons six through eight are my personal favourite (unpopular opinion, I know!)
Could be better
It is nice to reminisce on the show and behind the scenes juice etc. but I would eliminate Amy from the podcast, super fan or not I don’t care for her opinion, also 3 women talking over eachother is too much, just let it be Jennie and Tori and the occasional guest, thx!
