Initially, 29 passengers survive the collision but they must endure freezing temperatures with no winter clothes and only a few light snacks for food. The landscape is barren, and as night falls, the temperature drops below zero. The remaining survivors have no idea if help is coming. They will have to battle starvation, hypothermia, blizzards, and avalanches for more than two months before finally finding the strength to try and save themselves.
It's the incredible true story of survival in the elements and two young men's attempt to hike to civilization and get them all out.

Stories from after 9/11
How did 9/11 the day become 9/11 the idea? That question drives award-winning host Dan Taberski (Missing Richard Simmons, Running From COPS, The Line) to shift his focus to what happened on 9/12, and every day after that. 9/12 is a poignant, surprising, and surprisingly funny seven episode series about people who wake up on 9/12 having to navigate a new, radically altered world. A teenager gets caught up in an out-of-control conspiracy theory that he helped start. A Pakistani business owner finds hundreds of his Brooklyn neighbors are disappearing. Joke-writers at The Onion must figure out just how soon is “too soon”? 9/12 asks what it all means. We know what happened on 9/11. But what happened on 9/12 to alter our memory and our perspective forever?

Endurance: Surviving Antarctica | Hope
This episode comes out for free on 9/7, and is available early and ad-free for Wondery+ subscribers.
In a final attempt to get his men home, Ernest Shackleton and his crew have to get through the Drake Passage, the most dangerous stretch of ocean in the world. And that’s just the beginning. When they reach their goal of South Georgia island, they realize the only way to reach civilization is to cross 29 miles of impassable ice and snow on foot - something no one has ever done before.
Nearly a century later, Henry Worsley and his team push themselves to complete the final 97 miles to the South Pole to finish what their relatives started.
Wondery Presents: SUSPECT
A big Halloween party at an apartment complex in Redmond, Washington. Themed rooms and costumed partygoers. But by the end of the party, one of the hosts is dead. The police look to the partiers as the prime suspects: was it the guy in the devil mask, the bank robber, the construction worker? As investigators comb through forensic evidence, witness testimony, DNA, and even consult with a psychic, they zero in on one suspect in particular. But for what reason? Host and reporter Matthew Shaer (Over My Dead Body) returns to the scene of the crime, speaks with everyone about a night that still haunts them years later. It’s a series about race and policing, mislaid justice, cutting-edge science, and the kinds of weighty choices that cops and prosecutors make every day -- choices that, once made, are difficult to reverse.

First Antarctic traverse in 2004?!!
Love the show so this is just a LOL I noticed.
Narrator is recounting a story of the first traversing of Antarctica in March of 1914 - season 6. So, on S.6 E.1, 00:13:11 narrator recalls events happening on March of 2004.
Just a small LOL- had to mention it. Show is great.
Great material and well told.
3.5 out of 5
3.5 stars for most of the series except for season five was a bit hard to follow
The first four seasons were absolutely amazing my only issue is there is a lot of commercials and for someone who drives long periods in the car while I listen to podcasts that can get quite frustratingI spent a great deal of time listening to thousands of podcasts and this one has a lot of commercials compared to a variety of others
But the stories are very very interesting and I would actually pay for a subscription but if I buy a subscription and I get advertisements I’m going to be extremely annoyed
