I listened to Jess & Fiona all throughout Covid19, I’d take them on my neighborhood walk & felt like I was listening to old friends who were relatable, funny, didn’t stray from the real stuff, but also talked abt simple joys, pleasures & taking creative risks in life. 💝✨

“Silly and serious” is accurate and I love it. The conversational style makes me feel like Jess and Fiona are actually keeping me company as I work through creative blocks and cheering me on when I try something new. I can relate to their frustrations and delight in their victories. I appreciate their broad understanding of creative expression: painting! wine-making! macarons! This breadth has helped me look for small shifts toward creativity as I’m listening to the show - like hanging art when I don’t feel like making any. I recommend Art Horse if you’re interested in a lighthearted, conversational, seriously unpretentious podcast about art and art-making. The jingle might get stuck in your head, but it’s a good one so that might be a plus anyway.
