Jets @ Noon: Winnipeg Jets Podcast

Avoiding The End...

It might not be outlandish to suggest that with 22 games left in the regular season for the Winnipeg Jets their season might be on the line Thursday night against the visiting Tampa Bay Lightning.

Waking up the morning of their latest contest, the Jets sit nine points out of a playoff spot.

Coming back from the break, the Jets have grabbed six of a possible eight points and have gained two points in the standings.

An outright loss, to a team like the Tampa Bay Lightning, who have lost three-in-a-row and are coming off a 5-1 embarrassing defeat to the Minnesota Wild on Tuesday, might be too crushing to overcome - and a step back on the eve of the NHL trade deadline where major changes could be on the horizon.

So, is it safe for Cam and Jim to ask if the season is on the line at Canada Life Centre against the Bolts?

Erik Erlendsson, The Lightning Insider, joins the program to tee up Tampa's season so far and where the real expectations lie leading into the post-season.

All that and more on today’s edition of Jets at Noon.
