    We are back off a weekend of action in Cleveland that saw a dramatic finish to the main event, we have some fight news and some interesting nostalgia all on the "Fight Freaks Unite Recap Podcast!" They start with the Recap of Saturday night's Top Rank DAZN/TNT “The Fight” show in Cleveland, OH Lightweight Abdullah Mason TKO12 vs. Albert Bell, retains WBO title. This was a battle and a controversial TKO. Mason has a big future. What is next? In the co-feature featherweight Bruce “Shu Shu” Carrington W12 over Rene Palacios, retains WBC title. Shu Shu was good, not great, for most of the fight but things got hairy in the 11th round for some adversity. What are his prospects against other champs in the 126 lb. division. Dan has the front runners to replace Tony Yoka to challenge WBA heavyweight titlist Murat Gassiev. They are Germany’s Peter Kadiru and American Brandon Moore this coming Saturday in Moscow. Next, Dan was texting with WBO welterweight champ Devin Haney on Saturday night, Says he’s working on next fight and not determined if he will make the ordered mandatory vs. Keyshawn Davis, said Gervonta Davis is also “a serious option.” Queensberry Promotions announced it has signed heavyweight Guido Vianello, the 2016 Italian Olympian. His first fight of the deal is not done yet but in works is him against David Adeleye on the Aug. 29 Moses Itauma-Filip Hrgovic undercard. Then, some fight of the year candidates thru the first half.     Abdullah Mason Defends WBO Lightweight Title, "Shu Shu" Carrington In Co-Feature + Fight News | BFW Preview Podcast

    We're back on a July 4th holiday weekend (Happy 250 USA!) weekend with a prominent fight card with two world title fights and some interesting fight news to go over, too on the newest "Big Fight Weekend Preview Podcast!" First, a preview of the Top Rank DAZN/TNT/truTV “The Fight” debut in Cleveland Abdullah Mason vs. Albert Bell,, for Mason’s WBO lightweight title. It's a late change with opponent. Could this fight be a better challenge than the original opponent Joe Cordina of Wales would have been. The boys go over it all. And, Bruce “Shu Shu” Carrington vs. Rene Palacios, for Carrington’s WBC featherweight title is the co-feature. And, Tiger Johnson vs. Christopher Guerrero, 10 rounds, welterweights on the undercard too.  Next, some news The Federal judge in the Southern Distirict of New York has ruled that CSI the promoter trying to stop Floyd Mayweather's Greece ehibition has LOST the temporary restraining order? What does this mean for Mayweather still trying to fight the exhibition soon? And, will the Mike Tyson exhibition now be delayed, too? Then, former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury will face long-faded former title challenger Maruisz Wach on July 24 at Max Muay Thai Stadium in Pattaya, Thailand, Queensberry Promotions announced on Tuesday. It’s his warm up for the Anthony Joshua fight and as it happens Joshua faces Kristian Prenga the next night Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. WHAT. ARE. WE. DOING,. HERE with this opponent for Fury?! Dan's reporting that Tony Yoka has a back injury and is out of his July 11th challenge to WBA heavyweight titlist Murat Gassiev in Moscow. Replacement being sought, so goes on.   Plus, in the wake of Oleksandr Usyk’s decision to vacate his heavyweight titles on Saturday, the IBF has ordered Frank Sanchez and Moses Itauma to meet for the vacant title.  Dan believes this fight will negate the Itauma-Hrgovic fight for August 29th. Next, the WBO on Tuesday ordered welterweight titleholder Devin Haney and mandatory challenger Keyshawn Davis to begin negotiations to fight each other next.  What about this fight proposed vs. Shakur Stevenson? The guys have takes. And, lightweight Edwin De Los Santos is appealing his second-round knockout loss in a rematch with Jose Valenzuela that headlined Zuffa Boxing 08 on Sunday night at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.     Jaron "Boots" Ennis Scores Big KO + "Shu Shu" Carrington Joins Us And Usyk And Canelo Fight News | Fight Freaks Unite Recap

    We're back and do we have tons to go over, starting with Jaron "Boots" Ennis' huge KO win to become the unified 154 lb. champ Saturday night in Brooklyn. Also, hear from a world champ ready to defend and also lots of juicy fight news on the "Fight Freaks Unite Recap Podcast!" Host T.J. Rives is back with Insider Dan Rafael of his Fight Freaks Unite Substack to go over it all. They start with the recap of Saturday night’s Matchroom/Top Rank DAZN PPV card in Brooklyn, NY  “Boots” Ennis Scorches Xander Zayas in a TKO 7 and wins WBO/WBA junior middieweight titles. A tremendous showing by Boots, but give Zayas credit as he got off the canvas and had the challenger hurt, but succumbed later in the middle of the fight. What now for both of these guys after a tremendous battle? Then, on the undercard- Junior welterweight Emiliano Vargas TKO4 Bryce Mills Light heavyweight Ben Whittaker TKO2 Richie Rivera and Middleweight Jahi Tucker W10 Euri Cedeno. Dan has thoughts on all three of these bouts.  Next it's an interiew with Bruce "Shu Shu" Carrington  He defends the WBC featherweight title vs. Rene Palacios in co-feature of the July 4th Top Rank DAZN card & first edition of “The Fight” simulcasting on TNT and truTV from Cleveland, OH. "Shu Shu" is a great talker and you'll hear that loud and clear.   Thenk some news Lineal heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk vacates WBC, IBF and WBA titles on Friday in a surprising move and then, on Saturday the WBC votes to elevate Agit Kabayel from interim to full title status. Now, what's next for Usyk? And, whom does Kabayel fight? Next, Canelo Alvarez-Christian Mbilli is now postponed from September 12th to a date TBA in late October. Dan has more from Canelo's side on what's really going on here, besides the speculation that this is all about the Ryan Garcia-Conor Benn fight taking that primetime slot for that September Saturday night. Continuing, Dmitry Bivoll's manager Vadim Kornilov, who Dan was texting with this weekend, says the  light heavyweight champion is scheduled for July 23 left elbow surgery to clean up loose particles. He plans to fight before the end of the year and the WBO will order the Callum Smith mandatory. And, Tank Davis is stripped by of WBA lightweight title and made “in recess champion." So, they ordered Floyd Schofield and Lucas Bahdi to fight for the vacant title later this year. We have more.     We are back for a HUGE junior middleweight title showdown as a DAZN pay per view in Brooklyn, NY takes place Saturday night between unified junior middleweight champ Xander Zayas and former unified welterweight champ Jaron "Boots" Ennis. And, we cover that, fight news and more on the newest "Big Fight Wekekend Preview Podcast!" This show was originally live on Thursday afternoon on our BFW Youtube page. Host T.J. Rives and insider Dan Rafael are back with their insight and thoughts on the tremendous match-up of unbeatens at Barclays Center, as two of the top Americans in the sport will do battle. It's a Done deal, presser on Monday -- heavyweight Moses Itauma and Filip Hrgovic will meet August 29 (DAZN PPV or DAZN Ultimate) at The O2 in London. Hrgovic signed the deal on Friday. Also, PBC announces Spence-Tszyu Prime Video PPV undercard (July 25 in U.S. prime time, Sunday July 26 in Sydney, Australia). It’s US vs Australia -- Jermall Charlo, for his first fight in 14 months and third fight since 2021, will face Koen Mazoudier in a 10-round super middleweight fight. Stephen Fulton vs. Liam Wilson in a 12-round junior lightweight fight. 2024 Australian Olympian and middleweight prospect Callum Peters vs. TBA in a 10-rounder The WBA CLAIMS in a statement that it will reduce titles as it had once done AND announced the elimination of the bridgerweight division. Talks going on for a three-belt cruiserweight unification bout between WBA/WBO champ David Benavidez and WBC titleholder Noel Mikaelian. How realistic is this for later in the year? And, the Egyptian Professional Boxing Association denied Rico Verhoeven’s appeal of his controversial 11th-round stoppage by lineal/unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk on May 23 at the Pyramids in Giza, Egypt.
