I really like that there's no small talk before the actual podcast, like you get with the annoying duo pods. Narrative style is a must for me. Also, Heather can be very humourous and sarcastic at times, which I enjoy.
Unfortunately, there's a few obnoxious things to note:
For some unknown reason, Heather feels it's necessary to read a 5 star review at the end of each episode, wherein it's really easy to imagine each of those reviewers waking up in their Heather Ashley duvet, brushing their teeth with their Heather Ashley toothbrush, and drinking their coffee from their Heather Ashley mug...you get the idea.
All of that to say, her need to read those reviews out loud not only highlights an almost pathological need to be admired, it clearly demonstrates her need for everyone else to *know* how much she's admired too. She must be exhausting to live with.
There's clearly a need for approval. I really want to ask her why she thinks her listeners actually want to hear those reviews? There's no value, other than learning more about Heather's self-esteem issues. In which case I recommend a therapist Heather, not filling your deep need for approval with bum-licker reviews.
In her responses to those reviews I think she tries to sound both humble and cute...? But instead she gifts us with her trademarked whisper-mumble that I think only bats might be able to hear...
Lastly...is her neurotic need to remind us that she's a mother. Anytime she narrates a case with a mother/child, she compulsively has to add, "Me too! I'm also a mom! Hashtag mom life, amirite??"
Ok, I paraphrased a little, but you get the idea.
[One final thing Heather...a bedroom *suite* is pronounced 'sweet'...not "suit", as in 'pantsuit'. Notice the 'e' at the end.]
