River Power, Shadow Work, and the Flow of Creation

Carrigan Ham returns to the podcast to dive deep into the River force of nature—its gifts, challenges, patterns, and shadow work. This is the third episode in our elemental series together, and it's overflowing with insight, earth science metaphors, and soulful encouragement for those who feel deeply, move fluidly, and think in many tributaries at once. Carrigan is a rare gem—a brilliant thinker who weaves together earth science, body-based healing, Jungian psychology, and spiritual insight. Together, we explore the essence of River types and what it means to work with, rather than against, your watery, sensitive, flowing nature in life and business. Inside This Episode, You'll Hear: What it means to carry River Medicine—the gift of weaving many streams of knowledge into a coherent flow. Why Rivers need banks—and how structure is not the enemy of freedom, but the ally of clarity and impact. How shadow work supports River types in embracing healthy containment without stifling their flow. The geological beauty of river deltas and headwaters, and how they mirror the creative process. A powerful practice to identify the spectrum of your personal traits and unlock growth through paradox. The difference between devotion and discipline, and why "consistency" doesn't have to mean rigidity. How to lovingly regulate your nervous system around structure so you can stop resisting the banks that help you bloom. This episode is for anyone who's ever felt too complex, too tender, too overflowing with ideas—and just wants a way to make their creative work move. River power isn't about taming yourself—it's about learning how to channel your natural brilliance without losing yourself in the flood. Copy That Feels: The Art of Embodied Messaging

What if your best copy didn't come from your head—but from your hips, your heart, or your hilarious inner weirdo? In this playful and powerful conversation, I'm joined by my longtime friend, mentor, and colleague Carly Raemer to talk about writing from the body, not just the brain. Carly is a copywriter, energy worker, and mystic strategist with a gift for saying the thing your audience didn't know they needed to hear—right from the center of their lived experience. In this episode, she reveals how she tunes into the energetic field of her clients, writes through their hands and eyes, and uses body-based awareness to create copy that's funny, felt, and wildly effective. Whether you're drowning in your own overthinking or stuck staring at a blank screen, this episode offers a new way in. A way that starts in your body, not a headline formula. A way that trusts your truth more than any algorithm. Inside this episode: Why writing from your head alone leads to numb, "off" copy The energetic practice Carly uses to attune to her audience How she speaks to the felt experience of her readers, not just their pain points A real-time somatic exploration of how your belly, heart, and throat each "speak" differently The role of humor, desire, and even erotica in finding your true voice What to do when your business writing feels flat, formulaic, or like it's missing you This episode is a masterclass in writing honest, embodied copy—and it's also a reminder that you're not broken if writing feels hard. You might just be trying to write from the wrong part of yourself. The Key to Managing It All Without Holding It All in Your Head

On this episode, I'm sitting down with systems strategist and business manager Nicole Neer for a real-talk conversation about managing chronic illness while running a thriving business. Nicole lives with 12 chronic conditions which dramatically shape how she approaches time, energy, and work. Together, we explore the behind-the-scenes systems she's built to stay grounded, deliver consistently for clients, and honor her body's ever-changing capacity. This isn't about perfection. It's about honesty, discipline, and the radical act of organizing your work to support your actual life—not the fantasy version of yourself. Inside this conversation: How Nicole uses ClickUp as an external brain to manage energy and organize daily work Why the "three-task rule" keeps her business moving even on low-energy days A real-world look at the Spoon Theory and how to use it to pace your work week How honesty and boundaries with clients create trust, not fear Why showing up "messily" can still be powerful and professional And how entrepreneurs with variable capacity can still lead with integrity, impact, and grace If you've ever wondered how to actually build your business around your brain, this episode will feel like a deep exhale and a clear next step. 4. Money and ADHD with Rachel Duncan

Money and ADHD with Rachel Duncan

As I say in the Business by Nature podcast introduction, when the world is telling us to do business one way, what happens when we do it our own way?  If you've ever said: I'm sh*t with money. I've always been bad with money. I'm a failure. I can't do this right. I can't talk to my parents about money anymore. I ought to be better at this, and it terrifies me. I feel like I should be in a better financial place than I am. I actively avoid my money, or I flat out forget about it. My parents have bailed me out more times than I care to admit. Tune into this episode to understand what's ADHD, what's culture, and what's generational differences and all the different intersections that play out. Duncan has a similar way of thinking. She says, "You haven't done the rest of life the way everyone else does it, so why would you do money and business the way everyone else is doing it?" Rachel runs the Money Healing Club, which she dubs "the softest place to land in personal finance." She used to try to separate her two life passions of Financial Therapy and Art Psychotherapy, but as clients found her, she realized the two weave together for deep money healing that ripples out beyond personal finance. Art is healing, and it's a powerful way to move through blocks without linear pushing. Rachel shares some of the financial support systems, tools and methods she uses with neurodiverse members of her community. She finds that these tools are universally helpful for money healing. Budgets and spreadsheets are typical financial tools, but the methods she employs are approaches such as: Landing softly Being welcomed Creating a judgement free space Joining a friendly community Having a group experience with folks working through similar challenges Body doubling All of these calm and support the nervous system so deep healing can begin. From that space there's an opportunity to connect with values.  If you're not just trying to keep yourself out of the red but actually want your money and your spending to mean something, tune in to this latest episode of the Business by Nature podcast. You'll come away with a deeper understanding of the neuroscience at play in your brain so you can circumnavigate the urge to impulse shop as well as the crash state that weakens resolve. Rachel Duncan is a Financial Therapist and Art Therapist. She helps people who impulse spend and avoid money regain their confidence and knowledge about finances. She works 1:1, hosts a community, and runs group intensives. You can find her at moneyhealingclub.com and on Instagram @moneyhealingclub.  For listeners of the Business by Nature podcast, she has two special offers: A free Mindful Spending Challenge email course: https://moneyhealingclub.com/challenge 50% off your first month in the Money Healing Club with the code BIZBYNATURE There's no commitment required to join the club, and you can cancel anytime. Rachel runs several short get togethers in the club each week, including Money Dates and all facets of Financial Therapy. Rachel took the Force of Nature quiz and found out she's a River. This makes total sense given how she weaves together her skills into one holistic package. All Parts of You Are Innocent with Nurse Nell

Self-help can be an endless circuit of constantly trying to "heal" from your humanness. As a trauma-informed life coach, Danelle Gallo, aka Nurse Nell, helps women face their fears and gently coax what's hidden in the subconscious mind and body into the light where:  Shame dissolves Destructive patterns are broken Heavy burdens are finally surrendered Pleasure is remembered Safety is found Soft, glowing joy becomes your baseline Danelle's philosophy is: All parts of you are innocent. Even the darkest, hairiest, most disgusting, most disturbing parts. Danelle helps you relate to all your parts in a novel and magical way that will change how you see yourself and, therefore, everything else. In this episode we bond over how being a human is an intense experience, especially for neurodivergent women. No one is officially taught how to exist in a body. And, even though bodies are similar, no one knows what anyone else experiences in their body. This conversation will show you new ways of relating to yourself, your memories and experiences. You'll also learn Danelle's 6-step system for recalibrating when dysregulated. This simple process helps rebuild trust in mind, body and spirit while coming back to the present. Danelle is a resource for the lived experience. She's a nurse with a master's degree in Chinese medicine who's also a trauma-informed life coach certified in Existential Kink, meditation and yoga. 6. A Psychic Autistic's Perspective on "The Telepathy Tapes"

A Psychic Autistic's Perspective on "The Telepathy Tapes"

A trailblazing new podcast called "The Telepathy Tapes" launched recently. The host, Ky Dickens, takes listeners on a journey into the "shockingly" conscious world of non-speaking individuals with autism. Non-speaking autistic individuals have been looked down upon and dismissed as "less than" for much of their lives, and yet it's being revealed that not only are they communicating — they are doing so through the mind only — what we call telepathy.  Many people have shared this podcast with me because I've been recently diagnosed as autistic. This diagnosis has literally made clear thousands of things about myself and my life that I couldn't explain. Obviously I'm on a different part of the spectrum because I can communicate verbally. I also present in culturally-normative ways that eased my path in some ways but also created that mask of being unseen for who and how I am for so many decades. What you may not know is that I'm also able to communicate with unseen realms. I became aware of this ability in my 20s, and yet it's still hard for me to talk about — mostly because it's often faced with skepticism. This is the tender part that feels sad about "The Telepathy Tapes" because it has taken so long for unseen gifts to be taken seriously. In this episode of the Business By Nature Podcast, I share my musings on this new podcast and give words to some things not so easily expressed by others. I do recommend listening to "The Telepathy Tapes" — because it is much needed in this world.  In this episode I also mention my teacher Mellissa Seaman and her teacher Maria Yracebruru — check them out!
