On our first episode of our month of Sta Wars Adjacent films.  This movie definatly has Kurasawa vibes and really tries to have the look and feel of a Star Wars film.  Does it land it? or does it explode like the Death Star?

2019's Pokemon: Detective Pikachu 
In a world where people collect Pokémon to do battle, a boy comes across an intelligent talking Pikachu who seeks to be a detective.
We wrap up family movie night month with this fun buddy cop film, starring Ryran Reynolds and Justice Smith.  This film has it's moments and it's pretty fun and silly and also kinda dumb.  But it's good for the family.

2022's Slumberland 
A young girl discovers a secret map to the dreamworld of Slumberland, and with the help of an eccentric outlaw, she traverses dreams and flees nightmares, with the hope that she will be able to see her late father again.
This fun take on dreams could have been so much better.  Jason Momoa is weird and quirky but could have been more real.  Join us as we go on a dream scape journey.

2023's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mutant Mayhem 
The Turtle brothers work to earn the love of New York City while facing down an army of mutants.
Cowabunga dudes, we review the newest vision of the TMNT franshize.  This film is a new origin story of the classic turtles.  The art style is unique and deserves being praised for a bold choice.  Join us as we talk about the things we like, the things we didn't and Shawn nickpicks dumb stuff.

2020's Mulan 
To keep her ailing father from serving in the Imperial Army, a fearless young woman disguises herself as a man and battles northern invaders in China.
This live action remake of the 1998 anumanted film, is not the same type of remake like the others.  This movie takes more risks and doesn't do a shot for shot remake.  Does the movie suffer for it? Or benift? Join Andrew and Shawn as we travel back in time to China during a very different time.  Remember, this movie isn't the same fun musical the original is, but keep an open mind.

2023's Blue Beelte 
An alien scarab chooses Jaime Reyes to be its symbiotic host, bestowing the recent college graduate with a suit of armor that's capable of extraordinary powers, forever changing his destiny as he becomes the superhero known as Blue Beetle.
We end our month of DC film reivews with Blue Beetle.  Is it great? Good? or just another failed attempt by DC?  Lets find out.  Also, one of us nearly cried at this film.  Any guess who?
