How great would it be to get up close and personal with the beauty industry heroes we love and admire, and to ask them: how did you learn to do what you do? I’m Chris Baran, a hairstylist and educator for 40 plus years, and I’m inviting all our heroes to chat and share the secrets of their success.

    Sheri Doss

Today's episode is especially meaningful for me because I get to sit down with someone who had a direct hand in shaping the path of my career. She is a visionary leader in education whom I know from her two decades with Redken and L’Oréal’s Professional Products Division, where she led education strategy, creative development, and artist relations across global markets. She has an incredible ability to empower artists, elevate the craft, and make education relevant, whether it’s on stage, in the salon, or online. I have always had the utmost respect for how she inspires artists to think differently, create fearlessly, and stay forever curious. Her belief is simple: education is the heartbeat of a brand, and she brings that energy to her current role as Head of Global Education at Bumble and Bumble. Please join me now with this week's Headcase, Sheri Doss. ⭐️⭐️⭐️    Check out more episodes and the videos at https://chrisbaran.com/podcast ⭐️ Join our FREE Facebook community for Salon Team Trainers today. https://facebook.com/groups/salonteamtraining ✅ Exclusive content on how to implement and scale your salon training the easy way ✅ Save time and learn what works from people just like you  ✅ Get back to your mission of building the salon business and creating more jobs  Learn more here - https://bit.ly/trainersplaybook Join our FB group - https://facebook.com/groups/salonteamtraining Follow us on IG - https://instagram.com/coachchrisbaran

    Chris Baran's Nuggets - ep142 Power Model

Have you ever started a new job, joined a salon, or stepped into a new business, and genuinely wanted to help... only to have people look at you like, "Who are you?" It felt like no matter how hard you worked or how much value you brought, you were invisible. The truth is, we've all been there. The reason often has less to do with your talent and more to do with the stage you're in. There's a framework I teach called the Power Model. It's built around six different stages, or conditions, that we all move through in our careers, our finances, our relationships, and even our personal lives. Each stage comes with its own challenges, and if you don't recognize where you are, it's easy to feel stuck or frustrated. In this episode, I'm going to walk you through the Power Model, explain each of the six stages, and help you understand where you are today. Once you know your current stage, you'll have a much clearer picture of what you need to do next to keep moving forward.
