They talk through the aliens-as-demons and witchcraft parallels in the film, the cultural push to make empathy the supreme value of the universe, and what it means that humans alone are made in the image of God. This isn't really a movie review. It's a reminder that the stories our culture keeps telling shape what we believe is normal, whether we're paying attention or not. From Ephesians 6 to the plagues of Egypt to C.S. Lewis's Space Trilogy, they dig into why a biblical worldview is the most equipped framework for making sense of the reality of nonhuman intelligent life, the devaluation of the Imago Dei, and why materialism—even among Christians—can leave us completely unprepared for a topic that will continue to pervade our culture.
