Machetes at a Wedding & Cake to the Face 😂 | Crack Me Up Ep. 27

Episode 27 of Crack Me Up has just about everything: machetes at a wedding, an eight-hour Wisconsin road trip, a DoorDash food bender, impressive patient wins and another WellnessOne birthday tradition that ends with cake all over Dr. K’s face. Aide is back from Wisconsin and tells us about her family wedding—including traditional Mexican dancing with actual machetes, an uncle dancing with a baby in one hand and a machete in the other, homemade food from the family, secretly supplied tequila and a road trip where a grocery bag full of bread somehow became the snack of choice. Then the conversation somehow turns into electric-car road trips, range anxiety, whether stopping more often might actually make your back and knees happier, and why being the passenger princess may—or may not—be better for your body. Back at WellnessOne, we share some patient progress we're genuinely excited about. One patient who had been struggling so much that mornings were difficult was able to go upstairs for the first time in about a year after beginning care. The team also discusses another patient dealing with tick-borne illnesses who is beginning to notice changes with her knees and is working toward getting back to activities she loves, including dancing with her husband. And then there's Dr. K's birthday. What started years ago with a cupcake to the face has escalated into a slice of cake and now a three-layer mini cake warmed in the microwave specifically so it would smash better. It's officially becoming a WellnessOne tradition—and apparently next year's logical progression is a sheet cake. Also in Episode 27: Aide driving nearly the entire trip home from WisconsinTesla charging strategies and intentionally getting dangerously close to 0%Lil Wayne's sleep schedule and questionable-but-amazing lyricsPanera, boba, mochi donuts and an accidental DoorDash marathonWhy challenging patients sometimes produce the most rewarding winsThe frustration of patients not following their recommended scheduleDr. K going to the dentist on his birthday and nobody telling him happy birthdayPink scrubs, Mean Girls references and "On Wednesdays we wear pink"Neon mullet wigs and a future Topgolf adventureAnother update on The Hole, which somehow continues getting uglierA potential Crack Me Up road tripAnd another podcast ending caused by equipment deciding it had had enoughIt is culture, clinic life, patient progress, food, birthdays and the kind of conversations that somehow make perfect sense when you're part of the Crack Me Up crew. The Power Went Out… So We Blamed The Hole | Episode 26

Episode 26 of Crack Me Up starts with home-repair frustration and quickly turns into a full clinic emergency when the power suddenly goes out in the middle of patient care. Amber immediately runs downstairs into the darkness to investigate—exactly as Chatty G predicted she would—while Dr. K calmly continues asking a patient about their leg pain. With no lights, no air conditioning, no X-rays and limited treatment options, the team has to decide which patients can still be helped and which appointments need to be rescheduled. Naturally, everyone’s first theory is that The Hole did it. The team also shares several meaningful patient wins, including a patient who became emotional after realizing she could bend down and lift something for the first time in nearly a year. They discuss how people gradually adapt to pain, begin treating limitations as their “new normal,” and sometimes forget how much those limitations are affecting their everyday lives. Also in this episode: Amber’s ongoing HVAC and ceiling problemsWhy replacing damaged drywall every year is not a real solutionLosing power for several hours during clinic hoursTrying to keep treating patients without electricityDecompression helping reduce neck, facial and radiating painA teacher dealing with frequent headaches and missed workWhy reviewing X-rays can help patients better understand their conditionTesla’s self-driving system attempting to park near cart corrals, loading zones and other questionable placesFinding the mysterious pirate cashier from the dollar storeSeven Brew drinks saving the team after the air conditioning shuts offAmber’s unusual toothpaste cleaning hackCats that refuse filtered water but happily drink from an outdoor bowlDr. K accidentally encouraging a kid to run up an escalatorBooks, movies, adaptations, hype and why people keep talking about controversial contentA very abrupt ending when the camera battery finally gives upIt is another episode filled with real patient progress, clinic chaos, questionable technology and a Midwest goodbye that had to happen much faster than usual.

Tesla Took Us Where?! AI, Tequila & The Hole Returns

Episode 25 of Crack Me Up begins with a brand-new WellnessOne website and quickly drives itself completely off course—much like Dr. K’s Tesla. Dr. K, Amber, and Aide share the good, the bad, and the confusing parts of working with artificial intelligence. The clinic’s new AI-supported website is faster, cleaner, and finally feels like it represents WellnessOne—but Chatty G is still creating podcast artwork with random people, ignoring instructions, and acting like it knows better than everyone else. Meanwhile, Dr. K’s self-driving Tesla is doing an excellent job on the road and an absolutely questionable job once it reaches the parking lot. It backs into loading zones, chooses neighboring driveways, parks behind stores, and occasionally decides that “close enough” is good enough. The team also celebrates meaningful patient progress, including the impact of disc decompression and electroanalgesia for people dealing with persistent back and hip pain. They discuss how quickly someone can begin noticing changes, why preventative care matters, and how seeing a patient sleep better or return to normal activities makes all the work worthwhile. Of course, no episode would be complete without another update from Lincoln’s newest attraction: The Hole. The sidewalk may be wider, the construction equipment may be damaged, and the building may now be covered in concrete—but somehow the original problem still does not appear to be fixed. Also in this episode: Celebrating National Tequila Day without any tequila in the studioA two-year-old recommending a jewelry store for pumpkin pajamasPatients who try to unhook themselves from expensive equipmentA birthday party that grew from a few friends into an unexpected crowdCowboy boots, wedding outfits and questionable shopping expertiseA dollar-store cashier who completed the entire transaction as a piratePedro Pascal collections and the possibility of a life-size cutoutAI guessing games that the kids managed to stumpMovie sequels, creepy trailers and three-hour theater experiencesWhy we sometimes obsess over things we cannot controlThe team accidentally getting serious before immediately ruining the momentIt is patient success, technology trouble, clinic chaos and one extremely questionable episode ending—all in another episode of Crack Me Up.

Patient Comebacks, Knee Decompression & 16 Years at WellnessOne

Episode 24 of Crack Me Up celebrates Amber’s 16-year-and-one-day anniversary at WellnessOne—or, as one patient believed, her 16-year wedding anniversary to Dr. K 😂 After explaining golden anniversaries and discovering that Amber knows nearly every important number associated with the clinic, the team dives into another wonderfully chaotic mix of clinic updates, patient progress, website drama, strange noises, Mario Kart, and the never-ending construction project known simply as The Hole. In this episode, we talk about: Amber celebrating 16 years at WellnessOne Knee & Spine Center Why a patient thought the flowers were for a wedding anniversary The time Dr. K adjusted someone so well that he put a hole in the wall An Xbox controller that may still be sealed inside another wall Switching websites and the painfully awkward call about why WellnessOne is leaving its current provider The latest disaster surrounding The Hole, including a damaged excavator and a sidewalk nobody asked to replace Using AI to identify pet-safe flowers A knee patient who went from barely trusting his leg to unexpectedly jogging again Why the mind sometimes takes longer than the body to recognize progress Patients who insist they are “doing good” while struggling to move normally Why some people proudly wear pain as a badge of honor The truth about loud chiropractic pops and whether louder actually means better The full Crack Me Up Draft, where Chatty G assigns everyone roles during emergencies, road trips, reality shows, and an overnight clinic survival challenge Chatty G does not hold back. Dr. K is accused of making problems bigger while insisting he is helping, Amber quietly controls everything from behind the scenes, Aide becomes the fan favorite and side-quest queen, and Amanda remains the most likely person to disappear and return with snacks—or leave halfway through for Japan. Underneath the jokes is a real reminder: progress does not always begin with a huge breakthrough. Sometimes it starts with trusting your knee enough to squat, taking a few extra steps, or unexpectedly realizing you just jogged 40 feet without thinking about it. Real patient wins. Real clinic chaos. Questionably accurate AI predictions. That’s Crack Me Up.

Decompression, AI Feedback & Why Dessert Comes First | Crack Me Up Ep. 21

Episode 21 of Crack Me Up is officially here, which means the podcast is finally “legal”… so naturally, we start with a toast, immediately question the intro, and somehow end up talking about fireworks, burns, bunt cakes, birria, smash rooms, AI coaching, and decompression care 😂 This episode is full of classic Crack Me Up chaos, but also some great clinic conversation about how WellnessOne is using AI to improve patient communication, better understand each person’s “life effect,” and help patients connect their pain to what it’s really keeping them from doing. In this episode, we talk about: Cheers-ing to Episode 21Reflecting on how far the podcast has comeThe behind-the-scenes evolution of the podcast studioFourth of July firework horror stories and why people should have listened to our safety warningDr. K’s mom improving her walking and tackling hills againWhy dessert should absolutely come before dinnerNothing Bundt Cakes, Seven Brew, Birria Boss, and way too much foodThe Smash Room birthday celebration and the surprising danger of breaking glass for funUsing AI to review Day 1 consultations and improve communicationWhy making an emotional connection with patients mattersHelping patients understand the real “life effect” behind knee pain, back pain, disc issues, and mobility problemsChristmas in August, tiny shoes, and another Midwest goodbye that refuses to endAt the heart of this episode is a real message: pain is not just about the knee, back, neck, or disc. Episode 20 of Crack Me Up is packed with decompression wins, AI feedback, World Cup chaos, food truck plans, Fourth of July safety tips, and somehow… Love Island almost made it onto the board 😂 This week, Dr. K, Amber, and Aide talk about spinal decompression patients finishing care, why maintenance matters after you start feeling better, and how easy it is to stop doing the thing that was actually helping. From BMX dads to young landscapers with neck, TMJ, and headache issues, the team shares why getting results is only part of the journey — keeping those results matters too. In this episode, we talk about: Spinal decompression patients finishing up careWhy feeling better does not always mean the problem is fully stabilizedExisting patients trying decompression through complimentary sample sessionsThe importance of patient communication and asking better Day 1 questionsUsing AI to improve consultations, communication, and patient understandingA new published author/patient starting care and working toward softball coaching, CrossFit, and being active with her kidsA new mom continuing decompression care after moving from ColoradoWorld Cup watch parties, Mexico breaking the curse, USA soccer drama, and hydration breaksThe official Crack Me Up soccer team personality breakdownThe Hole, Fourth of July fireworks, lobster rolls, food trucks, and classic clinic chaosAt the heart of this episode is a real reminder: whether it is disc pain, knee pain, neck pain, headaches, TMJ issues, or mobility problems, the goal is not just temporary relief — it is helping people get back to the life they actually want. The Lost Pilot: Haunted Cameras, Cat Sweaters & Clinic Chaos 😂 | Crack Me Up

Before Crack Me Up officially became Crack Me Up… there was the lost pilot episode 😂 This unreleased first recording is where the chaos began: cameras refusing to switch, possible haunted podcast equipment, Protein Pop “not sponsoring” the show, and the team trying to figure out what this podcast was even supposed to be. In this pilot episode, Dr. K, Amber, and Aide introduce themselves, share how long they’ve been part of WellnessOne Knee & Spine Center, and give a behind-the-scenes look at the people, patients, and random conversations that eventually became the heart of the show. In this episode, we talk about: The official unofficial launch of the Crack Me Up podcastWhy the camera may or may not have been hauntedAmber’s 16 years at WellnessOneAide celebrating 3 years with the clinicDr. K growing up in a tiny Nebraska town where everyone knew everythingRed Baron pizza, water towers, and small-town chaosReal patient wins with knee pain, range of motion, and getting back to daily lifeWhy patient success stories are the reason we love what we doThe legendary Christmas party with matching cat sweatersMi Tierra, Mulligans, pool, massages, and questionable decisionsOmaha vs. Lincoln debatesHouse projects, cleaning standards, Costco opinions, and Spanish lessons gone sidewaysThis episode is raw, funny, awkward, and exactly what a pilot episode should be: a little messy, a lot of laughs, and full of the personality that made Crack Me Up what it is today. Real clinic stories. Real staff banter. Real “should we even release this?” energy. Welcome to the beginning of Crack Me Up.
