    In this episode, I explore the concept of artistic aura and what it means to preserve—and even amplify—it online. Drawing on Walter Benjamin's seminal essay, I examine whether digital reproduction truly diminishes an artwork's presence, and how artists can navigate the tension between visibility and authenticity in an age of constant sharing. I also challenge the idea that the best content is effortless, arguing that thoughtful curation is often a deeper expression of artistic integrity than raw, unfiltered posting. Through examples from my own creative practice, I explore how content can either strengthen or weaken the connection between an artist and their work. Finally, I discuss how to create an online presence that resonates with the spirit of your art, using intuition, alignment, and authenticity as guides. This can be strategic OR impulsive. This led me to explore how honing your artistic voice protects against comparison and creative insecurity.  In this audio essay, I argue that making generic artwork invites conflict, while authentic, deeply developed expression holds its own.     Share Your Art Without Burnout: Lessons from Persephone

    Many artists begin the year with the goal of posting more, building an audience, or documenting their process, only to fall off during the dark winter months. As spring returns, so does our motivation. Still, for many of us, that spark is accompanied by the fear that consistency won’t last—and creative burnout will rear its ugly head again. In this essay, I illustrate how to take advantage of this natural cycle rather than falling victim to it. Drawing on the story of Persephone’s seasonal descent and return, I explore creativity as a rhythm of retreat and re-emergence. You’ll learn how to separate your personal identity from your public persona, reduce the pressure of being seen online, and approach visibility as a role you step into, not a state you must permanently inhabit. I also discuss the importance of protecting your creative “underworld,” the private space where ideas develop. Without intentional rest, clear boundaries, and time offline, the quality of your work (and your connection to it) can suffer. Finally, I break down how to build a realistic, sustainable content strategy. Instead of chasing perfection or overcommitting, I encourage you to identify your true capacity for visibility and to design a framework you can maintain over time.
