No Condemnation: Living From Who God Says You Are | Unashamed

If you have been forgiven, why do you still feel condemned? In week 5 of Unashamed, Pastor Melissa opens Romans 8 and shows us the life the Holy Spirit makes possible. This is where Paul shifts from what Christ has done FOR us to what God is now doing IN us. The invitation is simple and hard at the same time: stop striving to earn a verdict God has already given, and start living from it. Here is the truth that anchors the whole message: you cannot live unashamed while you are still living defeated. In this message: : A life in the Spirit lives from freedom, not condemnation (Romans 8:1-4) : A life in the Spirit produces transformation, not performance (Romans 8:5-13) : A life in the Spirit lives from identity, not insecurity (Romans 8:14-17) : A life in the Spirit points others to Jesus (Romans 8:16-17) A few things to hold onto: The enemy knows your name but calls you by your sin. Jesus knows your sin yet calls you by your name. You are not a pardoned criminal on probation. You are an adopted son or daughter who gets to cry out, Abba, Father. And the Spirit is not asking you to try harder. He is asking you to surrender more. Scripture: Romans 8:1-17, Galatians 5:22-24 CROSS CHURCH DENTON We are a church that loves God and loves people. You're Not Broken — You're Just in the Process | Unashamed Ep. 7

Have you ever prayed all week, read your Bible every day… and still failed by Friday night? You're not alone. And according to Romans 7, you're not disqualified either. In this message from our "Unashamed" series, guest speaker Erinna walks us through one of the most honest chapters in the entire Bible, where the Apostle Paul, one of the greatest Christians who ever lived, admits he keeps doing the very things he hates. Not before he was saved. After. If that sounds familiar, this one is for you. What you'll take away from this message: — Why Paul's struggle is the same struggle you're facing right now — The difference between sin as a behavior vs. sin as a mindset (this changes everything) — What sanctification actually means — and why you're not supposed to be "there" yet — 3 benefits of salvation most Christians don't know they already have: free will, free grace, and free help — Why repentance isn't about feeling sorry — it's about turning around — How the Holy Spirit is already inside you, waiting for you to ask for help Key scriptures: Romans 7:14-15, 21-23 | 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 "The call isn't for us to live in perfection. It's to grow in godliness." Whether you're new to faith or you've been walking with God for years, this message will meet you exactly where you are. No judgment. No performance. Just grace. 🙌 We are Cross Church Denton — a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, multi-generational church family in Denton, TX. No matter who you are or where you've been, you belong here. 📍 1100 Dallas Dr #106, Denton, TX 76205 🕘 Sundays at 9AM & 11AM 🌐 crosschurchdenton.org

Unashamed Peace: Justified by Faith, Not Works | Pastor Tim Ross

What if the peace you've been chasing is something you already have? In this Father's Day message from our Unashamed series, Pastor Tim Ross walks us through Romans 5:1 and the life of Abraham to show us one of the most freeing truths in Scripture: we are made righteous by what we believe, not by what we do. This message will challenge the way you think about your relationship with God and give you permission to rest in the peace that only comes through faith in Jesus Christ. 📖 Scripture: Romans 5:1 (Tree of Life Version) "Therefore, having been made righteous by trusting, we have shalom with God through our Lord Yeshua, the Messiah." In this message: - Why Paul uses the word "therefore" in Romans 5:1 and what it points back to - How Abraham's faith set the standard for how we enter a relationship with God - The difference between faith and trust and why God only requires faith - Why your position before God does not change based on your performance - How justification by faith leads to a peace that passes all understanding 🙌 About Cross Church Denton We are ONE church that loves God and loves people. Multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, multi-generational and we believe no one walks alone. 📍 1100 Dallas Dr #106, Denton, TX 76205 🗓 Sundays at 9AM and 11AM 🌐 crosschurchdenton.org Watch more full sermons on our YouTube channel by searching @CrossChurchDenton. #CrossChurchDenton #Unashamed #ONE #Justification #FaithNotWorks #RomansFive #PastorTimRoss #UnashamedPeace #ChurchDentonTX #NoOneWalksAlone

Can You Be One With People Who've Hurt You?

What does it actually look like to be ONE with people who are different from you or people who've hurt you? In this Kindred Deep Dive, Pastor Vincent and Pastor Melissa went straight to the church. You sent in your real, hard questions live, about division, forgiveness, toxic family, financial giving, friendships you've outgrown, and what it means to love the way Jesus did. They answered every one of them. This was not a sermon. This was a conversation. Topics covered in this Deep Dive: • How to stay grounded in truth when the world feels divided and overwhelming • Taking down walls without losing healthy boundaries • When reconciliation is the goal, and when it requires distance • How to know when financial giving is helping vs. enabling • Navigating friendships that no longer align with who God's called you to be • What it means for a man to love his wife the way Christ loved the church • Living unoffendable, and why it's one of the hardest things we're called to do • Cultural and ethnic celebrations in a diverse church community This series, Kindred "People united by a shared identity, belonging, and purpose" has been one of the most honest and searching series we've ever done. This Deep Dive is the perfect close. If this message spoke to you, share it with someone who needs it. The Gospel Is Everywhere. So Why Is the World More Divided Than Ever?

The gospel is more available than ever. So why is the world more divided than ever? Pastor Vincent takes us to John 17, where Jesus, hours before the cross, prays one thing for the people he loves: "Let them be one." Not the same. Not uniform. ONE. United not by conformity, but by the presence of Jesus Christ holding every different, beautiful, uniquely-made piece together. This closing message of the Kindred series is a challenge that cuts deep: the credibility of our witness to the world isn't found in our platforms, our productions, or our programs. It's found in how we love each other. That's what the world is watching. In this message, Pastor Vincent covers: • Why oneness is not the absence of difference, but the presence of Christ • The reason the gospel is everywhere but division is still growing • What Jesus actually meant when he said "love one another as I have loved you" • Three prayers to close the series and carry it into your everyday life — — — Series: Kindred / People united by a shared identity, belonging, and purpose Speaker: Pastor Vincent Scripture: John 17:20-21 / John 13:34-35 Church: Cross Church Denton — — — Connect with us: Website: https://crosschurchdenton.org/ Instagram: @crosschurchdenton Facebook: @crosschurchdenton TikTok: @crosschurchdentontexas — — — #CrossChurchDenton #Kindred #PastorVincent #ChurchOnline #Unity #BeOne #John17 #SermonSeries #Faith #ChurchCommunity #MulticulturalChurch
