A podcast style series that is dedicated to simply sharing a variety of real and beautiful birth stories. The goal of this project is to help moms-to-be prepare for the birth experience by hearing different, special, unexpected, unplanned, and ultimately miraculous ways our babies enter the world directly from other women.

There is power (and comfort!) in knowledge, and the women I get to speak with have so much to share!

Disclaimer: I am not technically labeling this a 'positive' birth story podcast because I will be sharing some harder stories that still have a beautiful ending.

Picking up right where we left off with Kelsey's story. This episode is more about recovering from birth and growing into motherhood -- two things that are not easy for anyone.

Thank you so much Kelsey -- I am so proud of you and love watching you mother your sweet sweet boys from afar.

episode fifteen: when the universe slows you down - part one

Featuring Kelsey Rust sharing the birth story and recovery process of her second son, Logan.

Kelsey was diligently preparing for a VBAC with her second pregnancy, and her body & baby had a different plan for her. Part One tells her story of trying to do things differently during pregnancy the second time around in an effort to have a different experience as a whole.

Any moms who have experienced a c-section will relate to many pieces of Kelsey's story, and first time moms -- don't be afraid to listen because there is so much to learn and gain from how openly she shares.

    Thank you so much Kelsey!

Stay tuned for Part Two airing Friday.

    episode fourteen: welcome HOME

    episode fourteen: welcome HOME

Featuring Ann Morris, birth & postpartum doula and birth educator currently serving the Atlanta area, sharing her own birth story of her second son, Maverick.

It was so interesting cool to hear the birth story from the lens of a birth worker! There's obviously a sense of confidence and awareness after taking the time to learn about pregnancy, birth, and postpartum the way a trained doula does. Ann shares that she has attended somewhere around 70 births in her career so far, and I am just so grateful that she shared her own story with us here on Delivered.

For anyone considering a home birth, or just looking for ways to enhance their birthing experience, whatever it looks like -- this is a great episode to tune into.

    Thank you so much Ann!

episode thirteen: of course this is you

episode thirteen: of course this is you

Featuring Vanessa Wilkerson telling the birth story of her first born daughter, Vince.

Vanessa and I talk about the importance of being prepared for your experience -- whatever that means for YOU -- her cousin, a lactation consultant, was her biggest resource in feeling like she knew what to expect leading up to her induction.

You can follow her cousin Olivia at @MilkDrunkMama for helpful guidance and resources on lactation.

You can just tell in the way she speaks about her birth experience that Vanessa found a level of acceptance and openness that ultimately lead to a very blissful experience for her overall. We love to hear that!

We talk educating our partners and ourselves, induction processes, epidurals, and even clots postpartum!

Thank you so much to Vanessa, and I hope you love this episode.
