Chilly Chiles Hot Sauce: A Hot Ones Wing Challenge at Canada's Largest Selection of Hot Sauce

Chilly Chiles Hot Sauce: A Hot Ones Wing Challenge at Canada's Largest Selection of Hot Sauce

WATCH THE HOT ONES CHALLENGE ON OUR YOUTUBE CHANNEL, CLICK HERE

In this episode of Down to the City, Jacob Racco heads over to the Tanger Outlets in Kanata to check out one of two locations of Chilly Chiles, a hot sauce shop with over 1200 different kinds of sauce. This episode snaps back and forth between an in studio interview with Blair, the owner, and at the actual shop to have our own 'Hot Ones' inspired wing challenge with Helena, the General Manager, and Holli, creator of Gups hot sauce.

I highly recommend you watch this episode so you can see how we react to this gauntlet of 5 hot sauces, with 4/5 being Canadian made sauces, the only non-Canadian sauce being Da'Bomb, because it wouldn't be a Hot Ones rip-off without it. Watch the full episode on Spotify by clicking here, or on Youtube by clicking here.

We have certain moments and each individual hot sauce time-stamped below for easy viewing/listening:

Happy Goat Coffee: Brewing Sustainable Coffee & Strengthening a Community

This week on Down to the City Jacob Racco heads over to one of thirteen Happy Goat Coffee locations to interview Thierry Papineau, Happy Goats Area Manager. The coffee franchise is a staple in the city of Ottawa, so it's only fitting we do an interview at their Staples location on Bank Street which offers an amazing podcast studio, seminar room and other state of the art facilities.

We discuss the impact Happy Goat has on the city, giving back to their community through the many collaborations with local businesses, artists and providing social campaigns for the people of Ottawa. We then get into the culture within the company along with their mission, and of course we discuss the making and intricate methods the Roast Masters go through to create the perfect blend of coffee.

Life of Bad News: Capturing the City's Story Through Photography, Videography and Graphic Design

On this episode of Down to the City Jacob Racco sits down with one of Ottawa's longest standing photographers and videographers Chris, aka Life of Bad News. Through his work we discuss how he's been visually storytelling various aspects of the culture such as the music industry by capturing iconic events such as The Weeknd's first live performance in Ottawa. We discuss his mindset behind creating video content and art in general, along with what his experiences have been like between his time in Toronto and now back in Ottawa.

We also can't brush over his amazing graphic designs, which can be seen through his merch that has been rolled out over the past year, featuring a combination of unique artwork and slogans. Locks Party by FMG: Connecting People Through Music & Event Creation

SEE THE LOCKS PARTY EVENT FOR YOURSELF ON OUR YOUTUBE CHANNEL, CLICK HERE

This week your host Jacob Racco welcomes on two very influential individuals in Ottawa's entertainment scene in Filet & Simon, the co-creators of Locks which is an event that stems from their FMG collective. While they typically throw Hip-Hop and EDM shows, they have recently branched out into the sports scene by throwing the Lockdown Fundraiser Basketball Tournament, an event that raised funds for the Locks Cares Fund, a grant aimed at supporting immigrant BIPOC families in Ottawa.

We talk about why they felt the need to start this business to strengthen Ottawa's entertainment scene, as they've held shows for artists such as Night Lovell, Lil Mosey, Comethazine, Killy and more. In my opinion these two guys are exactly what the city of Ottawa needs to build up the culture, they're fun-hearted and smart business-minded individuals who know how to attract good vibes. Enjoy today's show, it's a good one, ALSO click here to watch video coverage of the Lockdown Fundraiser Basketball Tournament.

zzezzzzx ,

Don’t waste your time.

Initially, I downloaded an episode of this podcast because the were talking about a band I really like but after just 5 minutes into the episode, I zoned out. My honest opinion is, it sounds like a bunch of immature kids talking and arguing. Not educational at all. Save your energy, don’t waste your time.
