I’m writing this review bc there aren’t any rn. Which is a potential waste of your time.
Let’s say marketing/entrepreneurship has levels. If you’re level 2-5/10 then this show is absolutely for you. I’m sure you’d gains some valuable insights as a more experienced smol businessperson, but I doubt they’d come as frequently.
I get where you’re at. You’ve listened to a lot of podcasts that blew chunks. You picked up some recess from reddit and Inc.com that were so bad they legitimately hurt your feelings.
You will not have that experience listening to this show. I’m only 8 epis in. Which is a good sign, but obviously runs the risk that the rest will be crap. I have faith it won’t go downhill.
Dave is constantly drilling people for tactical, actionable stuff for his listeners. People love to come on podcasts and ramble about how great they are and try to drive traffic to their own content. That’s not as much of a problem here.
There are some hiccups to be sure, and Dave does talk more than an interviewer should at times (sry Dave if you’re reading this), but some of those times it’s to get people back on track.
What have I gained from the show?
So I’m a level 2…maybe level 2.5 entrepreneur with multiple eco stores, doing part time work for another company, and some freelancing.
I leveraged Val’s voodoo into a freelance email copywriting contract; took Wilson’s wisdom to land a sizeable retail partner and upsell another; and percolated on the Meundies episode to rewire the messaging for my next big campaign.
So far the show has made me $5k in rev and income. I started listening 4 days ago.
