Tragically, the climate crisis is accelerating faster than anyone other than science fiction writers had forecast just a few short years ago. At the same time, however, the energy transition away from fossil fuels is also accelerating much faster than predictions. Wow is this podcast ever frustrating to listen to, Markham is very good at talking about what he knows but he tends to expound and get on his soapbox without much regard to what his guest’s expertise is. I’m listening to an episode about BC’s emissions plan and he’s going on about BC hydro despite his guest being an expert on building emissions. Electricity generation is responsible for less than 1% of BC’s emissions so it seems a bit silly to go off about BChydro and then throw a question back to the guest whose main response is that it’s not her area of expertise.

Guests are knowledgeable and insightful. Markham is fair and balanced in his questioning, making for an enriching listening experience.
