Dr. Wes Thiessen has been trained in general mediation skills with the Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Alberta, specific mediation skills in Victim-Offender Reconciliation, Family Mediation, and is currently being trained in Arbitration.  He studied here in Canada but has spent a considerable amount of time outside of North America, having lived in North Africa for over twelve years and Jerusalem for four. Wes speaks English and Arabic, as well as having some skills in French, German and Hebrew. Wes and I talked about the process of mediation, which I thoroughly enjoyed. As many of you know, I am a movie buff so it was especially interesting to uncover the differences in my expectations and reality. I have to say I am still amazed by it!
