    Robin Van Gyn

Robin Van Gyn is a back country legend who's been filming in the Whistler back country and around the world. Her video parts are numerous and have won her the coveted Transworld video part of the year award. And Robin just won the Natural Selection tour finale in Tordrillo Alaska, so sick. I caught Robin in quarantine in Pemberton as she settled in to regroup after a crazy winter season.

    Hana Beaman

Hana Beaman joins the show this week for a conversation about her life in snowboarding including competing in this year's Natural Selection tour stops in Jackson Hole and Alaska. Hana embodies what it means to be a snowboarder which is why she's accomplished so much in her 20 year professional snowboarding career.  She has won the US open slopestyle 3 times and has several x-games medals in slopestyle as well. Plus, she's been pushing the progression of back country snowboarding since 2003 when she bought her first snowmobile after learning the ropes from Travis Rice.  Hana Beaman has been riding for Vans snowboarding boots for 20 years! So rad.

Amazing snowboard podcast

This is by far my favorite of the snowboard podcasts out there. 4 years in now of listening to this, I am still amazed at times with some of the guests that Erik is able to get. Being in my late 40’s there are stories and interviews that bring me back to my teens and 20’s reading magazines and watching videos featuring these guests. It helps remind me of why I got into snowboarding in the first place and the stoke that it gave me. I try to listen to most of these with my son, so he can also understand where the sport he loves actually comes from. Please continue the amazing work Erik.

Erik, just caught up on a few more episodes, really enjoyed the Garret Louie episode. Having grown up working in skateboard and snowboard shops in Vancouver, it is really cool to hear the behind the scenes industry stories, getting that deeper look into the inspirations and motivations of the people involved. As I've mentioned to you before, also really enjoyed your Sean Johnson and Sean Kearns episodes, looking forward to listening to more soon. Keep up the good work. Stoked, Gordon
