Follower of The Way - an interview with Ryan Garcia

As we close out Pride month the Notes crew sat down with Ryan Garcia, minister of music at Land of the Sky United Church of Christ to hear more about their testimony. Ryan is many things - a wonderful musician, a proud parent and spouse, a social work supervisor in county government for Aging and Adult services , and a self described follower of "the way" of Jesus. Ryan is also queer and gender non conforming, and has spent a lifetime trying to figure out what it means to be both of these things in Christians spaces that have consistently forbidden them to be their authentic self. Ryan graciously shared their incredible story, and I hope you enjoy them as much as we did!!
