Amazing
I love this podcast. The music was so soothing. The episodes are so helpful. I too want to build a foundation of a love for Christ in my family. Ruth and Troy are a wonderful example of how to preach the gospel to your family.
Hi from the Okanagan Valley!
Dear Troy & Ruth!
Thank you!
What a profound gift it is on so many levels, to listen and lean in as you both speak Truth with gentleness and exhortation—Christ in you, the Hope of Glory is evident in beautiful ways through what you say and how you say it. Holy Spirit-fruit is undeniable as you interact with each other too. Super encouraging for my man and I as we train up our 3 mini men (6,4,&2) in the fear and kindness of the Lord. Here’s our “ask Ruth&Troy” question... “Would you consider coming to stay with us as a family someday?”☺️ Okayyy, we have a guest cottage but it may not quite be comfortable for all 8 of you! Backyard tenting for the bigger guys? A gal can dream, right?😉
Just know we love ya and like so many around even all the globe no doubt, we feel as though we know you. Thrilled to be grafted into the same family of the Living God, by His grace and provision. Excited for season 2 of Foundations...👏🏼Encore!!
Setting Families Up With a Firm Foundation
Ruth and Troy Simons join together to share their wisdom and life experience as a couple, as parents and as Christians, in this podcast based on their book Foundations: 12 Biblical Truths to Shape a Family. Their discussions are not a "how to guide" on raising perfect children, step by step instructions on establishing silent fidget proof family times or the recipe for training up children or oneself in the ways of the Lord. Instead this podcast is honest conversations full of solid scriptural truths, relatable and practical content for all ages and stages found in a family, whether that be your nuclear family, small group, or friends. Listening to this (and reading along with the book) will make guiding your loved ones to have a firm foundation in Christ no longer overwhelming, daunting or impossible.
