Full Quiver Parenting

An "Our Little Family LLC" podcast, hosted by Lydia Braun and Steven Braun

Full Quiver Parenting with Lydia & Steven Braun! Here we talk about the importance of parenting that takes God at His Word so that when we face trials and opposition and meet our enemies at the gate, we are prepared to do battle with the spiritual powers of darkness, demolishing strongholds and arguments as we take every thought captive for Christ. A full quiver is not a number, but a spirit of openness to welcome the children God gives us whether of our own flesh, through adoption, or of spiritual descent. Submission to Husband or God?

What does it mean for a wife to submit to her husband?  Is a wife to enable or silently abide the sinful patterns of her husband out of respect or reverence?   Submission never means that we go along with sin, like Saphira who co-plotted sin with Ananias in their deceitful offering of money for the land that was sold (Acts 5:1-11). On the flip side, we also don’t want to have a Jezebel spirit that further entices a husband into sinful ways, as in the life of the evil king, Ahab (1 Kings 16:31-33; 21) A husband is also called to love his wife with a self sacrificing love, like Jesus (Ephesians 5:25).  And the kind of love that Christ had was one that regarded others as better than Himself and completely void of selfish ambition (Philippians 2:3-8). Submission and love then is a picture of Christ and the Church (Ephesians 5:32).  Love is  sacrificial and regards others as better than itself, and the submission of the wife would first entail a submission of her will and spirit to receive the husband's self sacrificing love like Jesus. Submitting to his self sacrificing love for her just all Christians are called to surrender to Jesus’s loving sacrifice for us on the cross in grace.  Join the discussion as we dive into what the Bible has to say about submission and love in marriage. The Currency of Seed

What is the value of children?  In a world that has more children in slavery than at any other time of history, children are spent like currency more now than ever in the physical realm.  But what is the true value of children, the blessing of new generations in the kingdom of heaven? Inspired by the work of Dr. Francis Myles on the mystery of blood money and what the true currency of heaven is (humanity), we explore the biblical concept of the currency of seed (offspring) as another currency of heaven and how seed is being spent in ways against God’s design and how He intends for seed to be spent.  The Lord is seeking a godly offspring (Malachi 2:15) and if the dragon sought to devour the child (Revelation 12:4), so shall he seek to do as his ways of warfare are to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10). Towards the end of this episode, we get into some discussion on the topic of demonic activity and sexual immorality and how the forces of darkness seek to steal and pervert the currency of seed that may be too intense for children.  We recommend that parents listen to that section on their own first.  There is a warning before we enter into that portion of the discussion.
