Industry 45 From The Drum Throne feat. Brad Merritt of 54-40

Legendary Canadian rock band 54-40 have released their new album PORTO with the current Top 40 rock radio single “Running For The Fence” - recorded in Portugal with longtime producer Warne Livesey - and they'll be at Delta’s Barns To Beaches Festival on June 20. But the bigger story is that this is one of the longest-running bands in Canadian music history still led by its founders: Neil Osborne and Brad Merritt have stood side by side since they formed the band as Vancouver teenagers in 1980, with drummer Matt Johnson aboard nearly 40 years. Across 45 years, 17-plus albums, and well over 2,500 shows, they helped invent a distinctly Canadian alt-rock sound alongside The Tragically Hip and Blue Rodeo - and inspired everyone from Our Lady Peace to the Arkells. There's a remarkable backstory here too. Their classic "I Go Blind" was a song their own U.S. label deemed unworthy of a full release in 1986 - then, a decade later, Hootie & the Blowfish's cover landed on the Friends soundtrack and rocketed into the Billboard Top 5, and the royalties let 54-40 build their own Vancouver studio. It's one of Canadian music's great vindication stories, and the song was inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2021. That thread - a band that did it their own way, outlasted the industry that doubted them, and is still making vital new music at 45 - runs straight through PORTO, which Osborne calls "an album about renewal and resilience."

Industry 45 From The Drum Throne feat. Kelly Keagy of Night Ranger

Today, hard rock legends NIGHT RANGER are proud to unveil their newly remastered version of their 1983 single, "(You Can Still) Rock in America (2026)," taken from their upcoming ‘Best Of’ album, set for release on August 28th via Frontiers Music Srl. The new single arrives alongside an official video, available below.   'Best Of' features newly remixed & remastered versions of classic hits spanning NIGHTRANGER’s illustrious career, alongside some standout tracks from the band’s more recent releases. The album will be released on both CD and Vinyl. The double LP is available in 3 different colors: black, gold, & orange splatter. Few bands have defined the sound of American melodic rock quite like NIGHT RANGER. From the soaring anthem of “Sister Christian” to the thunderous riffs of “Don’t Tell Me You Love Me," and fan favorites like “You Can Still) Rock in America” this album’s ‘Best Of’ collection captures the very essence of their decades-long career — now refreshed for 2026.   Featuring the classic hits alongside standout tracks from their more recent albums, this compilation spans the full spectrum of NIGHT RANGER’s signature sound: anthemic choruses, blazing guitar solos, and unforgettable melodies. Highlights include the power-pop perfection of “(You Can Still) Rock in America,” the heartfelt balladry of “When You Close Your Eyes,” and the cinematic sweep of “Four in the Morning.”   But the ‘Best Of’ is not just a look back. It also celebrates the band’s creative output over the last 20 years, spotlighting tracks like “Time of Our Lives,” “High Road,” “No Time to Lose,” “Somehow Someway,” and “Truth,” proving that NIGHT RANGER’s energy, songwriting, and musicianship have only grown stronger with time. These songs show that the band continues to innovate while staying true to the melodic rock roots that made them legendary.   The band — Jack Blades (bass and vocals), Kelly Keagy (drums and vocals), Brad Gillis (guitars), Eric Levy (keyboards), and Keri Kelli (guitars) — delivers every track with the energy and precision that have kept NIGHT RANGER at the forefront of rock for more than four decades.

"We are thrilled to be the Record Store Day Canada Ambassadors for 2026, " says Honeymoon Suite’s lead guitarist and songwriter, Derry Grehan. "To me, vinyl isn't just a format; it’s how I fell in love with music in the first place. There’s a magic to holding the jacket, reading the liner notes, and dropping the needle that you just can’t replicate. We’ve always been a band that lives for the fans and the music, so getting to champion independent record stores, the place where that magic still lives, is a huge honor us." “We are so excited to have Canadian music legends Honeymoon Suite representing us as RSDC Ambassadors in 2026,” says Ryan Kerr from Record Store Day Canada. “With an arsenal of great music under their belts, The Singles album is hotly anticipated by fans coast to coast. Industry 45 From The Drum Throne Feat. Mike Fitz (Bad Marriage)

“Match Made In Hell,” the debut full-length album from Bad Marriage via RFK Media and Amplified Distribution, officially hit the streets worldwide on Friday the 13th of March. Riding a massive wave of positive response to the presale campaign, over 30K immediate organic views on the official music video, and packed houses on tour, it seems the honeymoon has officially begun.  The first single/title track has already impacted Apple’s “Breaking Hard Rock” and “New In Rock” playlists. The release has already been front-page news on all the major rock media sites. And the hardcore fans (lovingly known as the “Bad Marriage Society”) are unanimously standing at the altar in praise as they begin to consummate this sonic love affair by cranking up the album over and over again.  CDs and vinyl LPs are available now at https://rfkmediashop.com and https://badmarriagemusic.com, and of course all major online retailers like Amazon, Tower Records, and Target. The CD includes an extra bonus track that wouldn’t fit on the vinyl version, plus 12 other songs joined forever in unholy matrimony on this timeless collection. The LP with gatefold is pressed on mixed ‘blood moon’ colored 140-gram vinyl.  This powerhouse band out of Boston has been winning over the fans and the media for several years now and is well-positioned for the big time, and the new album “Match Made In Hell” fully embraces the spirit of their classic roots while capturing a modern active rock sound. BadMarriage – guitarists Mike Fitz and Tommy Skeoch (who was a founding member of Tesla), vocalist Jonny Paquin, bassist Todd Boisvert, and drummer Michael Delaney – is already on the road and plans to stay there throughout 2026, with a full calendar of tour dates leading up to two appearances at this year’s Monsters On The Mountain rock festival August 22/23, on the bill with Bret Michaels, Night Ranger, and more.
