The Fluid Motion Golf Factor and Reading Your Fluid Cues with Steven Yellin

The Fluid Motion Golf Factor and Reading Your Fluid Cues with Steven Yellin

789: Steven Yellin, creator, author, and teacher of the Fluid Motion Factor, listed a testimonial on his website from David Leadbetter that sums it up, “It’s pretty simple. The Fluid Motion Factor Program will make you more consistent. End of story!” If you believe that your mental game contributes to lower scores, then this episode is for you. Steven’s revolutionary training program allows you to be more consistent. But this isn’t sports psychology, this is a neurophysiological process in the mind that EVERY golfer has to experience in order to produce a fluid golf swing. He’ll work with you one on one, but be prepared because in our conversation, he says you can’t afford it. But he was generous enough to offer Golf Smarter listeners a 10% discount on his online program. Something that’s he’s never done before. Find more at fluidmotiongolf.com. Special thanks to Tony Wright (ep787) for introducing us to Steven!

This week on Golf Smarter Mulligans 105, even though Tony Manzoni had tremendous success coaching the Men’s golf program at College of the Desert, he didn’t focus on Men’s golf only. Tony had tremendous respect for the women’s game and believed that amateur golfers at all skill levels could learn a lot from watching the LPGA Tour. He also spent a lot of time working with children who were exceptional golfers and had a future in the professional game.

788: Tiffany Faucette picked up a golf club for the first time as a teenager, and like most of us has been on a quest ever since. But for Tiffany, it included a successful college career, #1 ranking by Titleist Golfweek as an amateur, professional competition for more than a decade, playing in a couple Majors, and inventing a training aide that can be easily used indoors. This week on Golf Smarter Mulligans 104, Tony Manzoni taught a very effective method of the golf swing that he learned from his years of intense studying what made Ben Hogan great. We discuss it in depth in this episode that is also available on our YouTube.com/GolfSmarterTV channel using an early video conference platform called Blab. This was a full decade before the world became comfortable with video conversation. This is the 7th consecutive episode featuring Tony Manzoni, one of our most requested teachers ever on Golf Smarter, who passed away in 2018. The Brilliance of Carey Mumford (RIP) and the Art of Custom Clubfitting with Tony Wright

787: Anthony “Tony” Wright is a custom club fitter, putting guru, and disciple of the the founding father of golf sports psychology, the late Dr. Carey Mumford. In this conversation that covers the benefits of being fitted for clubs, especially for high handicappers, we also talk about and share some of Carey Mumford’s “Clear Key System”. Dr. Mumford, who passed away in 2013, was on Golf Smarter twice (now available in Golf Smarter Mulligans episodes 16 & 26) so we share some highlights of those conversations. Unfortunately, Mr Mumford’s website ClearKeyGolf.com and his books “The Double Connexion”, “Golf’s Best Kept Secret”, “The Putting Book”, and “The Mental Game” are no longer available anywhere. Tony has his own podcast focused on clubmaking called Game Improvement Golf.

This week on Golf Smarter Mulligans 103, is the 6th of nine episodes with Tony Manzoni (RIP). So many listeners confuse with Tony’s swing with Stack & Tilt. Tony addresses the difference and why Stack & Tilt may work for some, but will eventually create back problems.
Tony’s book “The Lost Fundamental: One Simple Move. Better Golf Forever.” is available once again in either paperback or kindle formats. Find it at https://www.amazon.com/Lost-Fundamental-Simple-Better-Forever-ebook/dp/B07MZFSPBW/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=tony+manzoni&qid=1583280371&sr=8-1.

The 4 Primary Skills for Putting from The Putter Book with author Brandon Stooksbury PGA

786: Brandon Stooksbury’s first book The Wedge Book is an Amazon Best Seller. His newest, the Putter Book is simple, direct, and really helpful. In this week’s conversation host Fred Greene challenges Brandon to give us a putting lesson by explanation only…and he succeeds! He breaks down in detail the four skills required to become a better, more consistent putter. They include green reading, start line control, speed, and attitude.

This week on Golf Smarter Mulligans is the 5th of nine episodes with Tony Manzoni (RIP). Beyond being a great golfer and teacher, Tony Manzoni had so much more to his life than the game. In this conversation we get into an interesting discussion of what it’s like to live in the shadow of a high profile father, then pursuing a career choice in the same field. Examples discussed include Steph Curry and Frank Sinatra Jr. We then continue to discuss taking your game to the next level one club at a time. The focus of the conversation is how many situations require wedges.

Quantity and Quality content

I’ve only recently become a Golf Smarter listener within the past 6 months but it is now one of my go-to podcasts. The host Fred Greene interviews a wide variety of golfers, coaches and fanatics alike and has some form of content for everybody. With almost 700 episodes and new episodes created every week, the amount of content is seemingly endless.
My only complaint is the volume of the show varies significantly from the commercial volume and can be a hassle for earbud listeners such as myself to constantly be adjusting my volume.

Golf Smarter really is Golfing Smarter

This podcast has something for every golfer. The guests are from varied backgrounds and hold various points of view. Topics cover technique, equipment, strategy, preparation both physical and mental and help on in round psychology. The questions Fred asks his guests help all levels of golfers and are worded such that even the beginner can glean wisdom from his guests responses. With almost 700 episodes, the past ones are available on the Mulligans podcasts. It is a good weekly listen and I recommend it for all that are on this lifelong adventure to try to figure out this game.
