Catholic-Christian Cringe-Comedy Ec-ewe-menical Theology Let's not take the Faith too seriously. Ex-Protestant Millennial (with Zoomer humour and Boomer ideology) becomes a Roman Catholic and uses his academic career for a cringe take on Christian theology and culture... why is he typing in the third person? I'm Jacob Hogge aka 'Good Sheep' and by that I mean a sheep of Jesus Christ and no one else. You can do the same and become a Good Sheep too! Good Sheep are raw with their Christian faith, seeking to live exclusively to the Truth - at the same time, we're honest and unafraid of our failures and the occasional mishap of un-impressing people... hence the cringe.     The Didache is a catechism for Gentile candidates entering into a Judaic-Christian community. It is one of the most ancient documents of the Church, predating the large majority of the New Testament, and it gives us an incredible snapshot of what the 'raw'-est Christians believed and practiced. Its also the document that compelled me to abandon my ideas in Protestantism, and seek 'the Church Jesus started.' But is this document an authentic picture of what Christians should believe and practice today? Questions that the Didache should make you ask: How should you respond to Christian teachers, fund missionaries, or believe self-proclaimed prophets? How should your church deal with conflict and repentance? Do your bishops operate like the early church's? And do your works matter for your salvation?
