It's a new era of parenting as our children engage in digital spaces, social media, app and gaming platforms. Let's be honest, they know more than we know as parents and that, can be dangerous. In this solo episode I explore with you some of the serious implications and harms associated with kids using social media from impacts of mental health, social relationships, sleep disturbances to physical safety. I also share a behind the scenes look at what's happening inside of some of the apps as well as educational tips of how to minimize harm and set healthy boundaries with technology and kids. If you have a child, or know a family with a child that has access to the internet and social media - this is a must listen.

17: Dancing with the Devil with D Jay McGrath
After grappling with homesickness, anxiety, and depression as a result of moving away from home at age 15 to play AAA hockey, D Jay McGrath turned to alcohol to cope and numb his feelings. That choice landed him in a 10 year 'dance with the devil' in active alcohol and drug addiction.
On June 6th, 2022, D Jay finally opened up to his parents and began his journey to recovery and sobriety. He’s been sober since that day. Join me as D Jay shares what it was like to go from never picking up a drink to falling hard into the world of addiction and how he made a conscious choice to seek help and find his way back to himself.
