    We’ve all heard of the “pursuit of happiness,” before. The crux of this goose chase is that once we actually manage to obtain our material definitions of happiness, we’re left feeling just as empty as we were without the having of them. It’s at least true for me to say that once I finally possess something I had always wanted, it almost immediately loses its luster. This is why the journey is so much more important than the end goal. The purpose of having a goal is for the excitement that comes with the process of achieving it. In this case, the “pursuit of excitement” is a more accurate description of the driving force of the human collective. My ascension journey did not continue as it began. This is a story of false starts, being stranded on the road, stripping myself of all belongings, and moving to a faraway land.
