SNR Drive (Pittsburgh Steelers)

Matt is always talking about the 100 other podcasts he listens to… and it’s pretty obvious. As an avid listener of both this show and The Athletic Football Show, I’m often perplexed when Matt’s “takes” are repeated verbatim from the previous episode from the guys at The Athletic. I love listening to you guys talk Steelers, but Matt, please have an original thought at least occasionally.

Hi Guys As a Steelers fan for over 50 years, I think people have a right to be angry about this team. As a 25 year veteran in the broadcasting industry and a fan of the show, please don’t lecture fans on how to feel and insult their football IQ while you defend the team. Try to remember you have the privilege of having a job where the fans of the team you cover are some the most passionate and loyal in all of Sports. Trust me, i know because I’m in Montreal. Covered the Habs for years so I understand your frustration, try to understand theirs. Cheers Lads Go Steelers!

Please fix the volume the levels for MW it’s too low compared to DL. And then when the promo bits come on they’re blaring.

Dale and Matt are both qualified football analysts who also have a deep understanding of Steelers history. They actually watch and break down film on a regular basis, and cover the team daily. I appreciate how they provide their insights regarding the Steelers, but also the rest of the league from both a Steelers perspective and a fantasy perspective. I respect their opinions, and they usually back them up with strong points so I can appreciate it even when I disagree with them. They also are easy to listen to. Very casual, like talking to them at a bar, while also maintaining professionalism and structure expected for a radio broadcast.
