439 | What’s Keeping You From Writing with Donn King

How did Rachael’s Kickstarter end up? IT IS EXCITING! And then dive into what’s keeping you from writing with Donn King!
Donn King is The Confidence Cultivator. He is a professor of communication studies (which means “a professor of standing up in front of people and saying stuff”). He’s also an author, a pastor, a speaker, and a communication coach. He started writing for a newspaper at age 14 and made part or, at times, all of his living writing for over 40 years. But when his disabled daughter came along, he thought his well had dried up, and he was unable to write for over a decade. A year ago his muse started talking to him again, and he has written two books in The Sparklight Series and has a third in process. Don't miss his podcast!

437 | Getting Unstuck with Anne Kemp

437 | Getting Unstuck with Anne Kemp

Anne Kemp shares the wisdom of just doing SOMETHING to get yourself the slightest bit unstuck - it all adds up!
Anne Kemp is a bestselling author of romantic comedies. She loves reading (and she does it ridiculously fast, too!), gluten-free baking (because everyone needs a hobby that makes them crazy), and finding time to binge-watch her favorite shows. She grew up in Maryland but made Los Angeles her home until she encountered her own real-life meet-cute at a friend's wedding where she ended up married to one of the groomsmen. For real.
Anne now lives on the Kapiti Coast in New Zealand, and even though she was married at Mt. Doom, no…she doesn’t have a Hobbit. However, she and her husband do have a terrier named George Clooney and a NZ Heading dog named Charlie. When she’s not writing, she’s usually with them taking a long walk on the river by their home.

Highlight of my day

Thank you Rachel for producing this podcast! It’s been the most enjoyable moment of my work days. I have a really busy working schedule and could only write during the weekends. Transition from my writing days to work days has been the most frustrating every time. This podcast is what kept me learning about my craft on the go. It’s super informative and fun to listen to, and it kept my creative side sharp.
