LOL, God

Chasity Shine

Welcome to the LOL, GOD Podcast! I'm your host, Chasity Shine, and I'm pumped you're here. This podcast is for anyone who’s ever felt called into something that made them think, “Wait... me?” When the calling feels way outside our comfort zone, it's easy to laugh—because honestly, it sounds wild. But here's the thing: God LOLs too, but with lots of love—His kind of LOL. We LOL (laugh out loud) at God's plans, and He LOLs (lots of love) right back—because He sees the big picture. He knows your future, your potential, and how to stretch you into something greater than you imagined. Trusting Him in those moments can feel scary, even impossible, but that’s where faith comes in. This is the space where we remind ourselves just how good God is. How deeply He loves you. And how every divine nudge, no matter how outrageous it seems, is rooted in His desire for your growth, joy, and purpose. Let's step out of our comfort zones together; nervously laughing all the way Ha. Ha? Ha!

    Lots of Loss

🎙️ Episode: “Lots of Loss” – Wrestling with Grief, Faith, and a Good God Welcome back to another episode of the LOL, God Podcast. This one’s different. It’s not light, it’s not easy—but it’s real. This episode was never supposed to be now. I had “Loss”  episode planned for later. Much later. But after devastating floods in Texas this month that claimed the lives of so many—including 37 children—I found myself asking questions Why, God? Why them? Why now? Where are You? From the tragic loss of loved ones in my own life, to my husband losing his father at age 8, to my conversation with a mother who lost her only daughter—this episode is an honest wrestle with the reality of suffering and the mystery of God’s sovereignty. I’ll take you through: My gut reaction to the July 4th Texas Hill Country floodsA raw moment where I had no words—just tears and a reach for GodReading Genesis 3 with new eyes: how the “crafty serpent” still gets in our earsAn unforgettable conversation with Lisa, the mom of my childhood friend Lindsay, and how she sees God’s glory in the unthinkableWhy I’ve always resisted quoting Romans 8:28—and why I might finally be readyMy personal fears, questions, anger... and the surprising peace I’m starting to glimpse This isn’t a “pretty” episode, but I pray it’s a meaningful one—especially for anyone walking through pain or loss. If your soul is not well right now, know you’re not alone. And know God sees you.
