080 Positive Birth & Motherhood: What Every Pregnant Woman Should Hear

When I was pregnant for the first time, I heard so many negative birth stories. It was a breath of fresh air, and created such a burst of excitement in me, to hear about women’s positive birth stories and experiences as Moms. Like “wait… positive birth experiences are possible? AND it’s possible for me?!” Now, as a mindset coach for Moms, I see it all the time - women asking “is there such thing as a positive motherhood experience?” “Can someone share what they love about being a Mom?”.  I’m here to break the news that motherhood is incredible.  It will be your favourite, most meaningful chapter of your life yet. And - it can be overwhelmingly positive, where you do really really love it, pretty much all of the time. This proof is powerful. It creates evidence. It also creates a ripple effect where the paradigms around pregnancy, birth and postpartum start to shift. But we need the inner tools to make those positive experiences a reality. Follow along with the My Lighter Way Podcast to hear more positive experiences about birth, being a Mom, and how to create joy inside every single chapter. Thank you for being here! 077 Why I don’t vibe with most mom groups and what I’m craving instead

I have found I don’t fit in with most mom groups. Not because of anything “wrong” with me, or the moms inside most mom groups. But because of the paradigms, beliefs and ways of connecting that exist within most mom groups.  One-on-one, I can connect on some level with most moms in many ways. But in a group setting, something shifts. Complaining, gossip, competition, survival mode as the “real” real… It’s just not… for me. This is one of the reasons I love My Lighter Motherhood. It’s shifting the paradigm, one motherhood experience at a time, to one you enjoy more than suffer through.  I don’t want you to have to relate to the misery of it all as “just a normal part of it” either - as the main, leading, or dominant experience.  Inside My Lighter Motherhood, you connect with the growth, magic and awe of it all. You ask for support from gratitude and joy in receiving, rather than a necessity from survival mode. You connect with other Moms and experience many of the same things on the outside - the night wakeups, the feeding around the clock - and instead of dreading another day collectively, you find growth, purpose, and even pure bliss as your everyday normal. That’s the energy of loving motherhood. That’s the energy of My Lighter Motherhood. How powerful when we all come from that place, together.
