I’m a complete outsider. No cultural background, no knowledge of the language. I’ve never been to China. I need every subtitle available and yet, I can’t stop watching! At a time when modern dating has lost its plot and Western storytelling has abandoned the slow burn, Chinese dramas are quietly delivering exactly what women are starving for.
