He returned the following day to defeat SLADE and Tim Strange in a Three-Way Panes of Glass Death Match, earning his spot in the Tournament of Death 23 final.In the final, Dred faced Bear Bronson in an Exploding Time Bomb Countdown To Hell Death Match, ultimately surviving the chaos and claiming the Tournament of Death 23 championship.But Tournament of Death 23 is only the latest chapter in Joe Dred's journey through the world of hardcore and Death Match wrestling.Dred's career dates back to 2018, and over the years he has competed in some of the most notorious Death Match environments in the United States. His résumé includes appearances with CZW, XPW, FIST, and other independent wrestling promotions, sharing the ring with some of the most recognizable names in the hardcore wrestling world.His Tournament of Death history alone includes battles against names such as Big F'N Joe, Mickie Knuckles, Mad Man Pondo, Nick Gage, Akira, Drake Younger, and SHLAK. Dred came remarkably close to winning previous editions of the tournament, reaching the final of Tournament of Death 21 against Mickie Knuckles in 2024 and the final of Tournament of Death 22 against SHLAK in 2025.His career has also included championship success outside of CZW.
